Zach Edey, the 9th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft out of Purdue, tallied 14 points (7-12 FG) and 15 rebounds for the Grizzlies. Edey looks good. I think he could start in the future.
Definitely has some touch on the hook. A capable rebounder will see what he can do against real NBA talent but I think if you were to put him in the triangle off you could really use him as a score pass option center from the paint.
Need to see where he is stamina wise and his confidence against centers that are not summer leaguers but I could see him and Jackson being tough to play against on both ends

Zach Edey is playing like a prime Yao Ming. With his impressive moves and skills, he could almost pass for being half Chinese. I'm relieved he didn't get drafted by the Lakers; that team is a total circus right now, there's just too much spotlight for overrated players. In Memphis, though, they've got a superstar in Ja Morant and a solid center in Jaren Jackson Jr. If Morant can avoid any more off-court issues next season, the Grizzlies have a real shot at making the playoffs and knocking out the Lakers if they meet.
