Can you imagine how good Stan Collymore would have been had he had a manager like Emery rather than “I’d like to shoot a Dwight Yorke” Gregory? all those issues probably would have been dealt with in a better way. Ifs buts and maybes and different times.
The difference between Emery and Gerrard is night and day. We might not have the best squad in the top 6 but we’ve got a manager who knows how to extract the best out of each of them.
FFP will, no doubt, cripple us for next season and I expect we’ll have a drop off in performance like Newcastle have but you know that Emery can squeeze every ounce of ability out of the players he has and his meticulous attention to detail will keep us competing.
