What a fascinating site. Completely self contained with living accommodation, school, hospital, church and crematorium plus anything else they would have needed. With people that worked and administrated the site, as well as patients and their families, I could imagine there could easily be 500+ people live there had it been completed.
Walls tend to be so thick as it helps insulate against the heat.

What an interesting place to explore those building are so spread out and the large house that would have been such an amazing place and like you said those views are fantastic looking over the sea.

I found the ruins quite interesting , Ive taken up a sort of 3D scanning of objects/locations so i would of been scanning all the interesting bits and maybe 3d printing parts later

Sorry for asking this here I’m sure you’re tired of metal detecting but I was wondering where I could metal detect in Europe as a foreigner. you were my favorite TH-camr as an 9 year old kid. Now that I’m 20 years old I can now travel to Europe on my own and I’d really love to metal detect for relics.

Crumbs you would struggle to get up there if you were a leper. Thanks for sharing however. Well done for getting up there both of you. I agree nazzy those steps were lovely , would like them for my own home, I think the large building could of been a hospital, as a lot of patients would have been kept together in beds, again like you a guess. I don’t think the6 would have had separate rooms they would have been kept together. I feel sure thst was some form of flesh eating disease, wasn’t it,so I guess people wouldn’t all be together. I am going to have find out a bit more on this now. Thanks for sharing, an infirmary is a hospital mazzy. You really worried me Dan in that lattervbuilding, that the floor may cave in or something. Was pleased when you got out.

It's annoying when you're on holiday and when you get home and look at where and what you did and realise that if you had just gone a little bit further or turned right instead of left your journey would have been so much more enjoyable.
