About the cherries, I believe they process regular cherries until they're see-through and then add more sugar and red colouring to them again afterwards :)

Because as coincidental as it seems that you just so happened to google that smell, it doesn't read to me like a coincidence. It COULD just be you acting like a worry wart..... lol, but baby steps, Emma. "cats don't poop near people they don't know" lol tell that to my cat. When I went to the animal shelter to adopt a cat he was in his cage, he looked me in the eyes and then he went to the litter box to take a shit right in front of my face..... that's when I knew that this was gonna be my cat
it's funny, because going to the dentist and bathe and making myself something to eat is very productive to me. but I think that depends on mindsets. I'm really happy that it's normal to you. :)

I laughed way too hard at the image of a bunch of girls in their 20s enjoying a ballpit so much. In my mind, there were parents covering their children's eyes and hurriedly ushering them away too.
That smell is usually caused by plastic decomposing due to heat, like in a power supply, so check those for smell and touch them to see if any are getting hot.
12:00 Being that the smell happens around 4 to 5 PM makes sense as that would be about the time that the heater would start running more and or for longer along with the water heater running more and or longer, which would put more current on the wires and or circuit breakers. The light bulbs burning out could also be caused by other things taking too much current. Some light bulbs will burn out quicker if they are run on less voltage than they are made to work on. The best case scenario is that the filter in your central heater / air conditioner needs to be changed. If the filter is clogged it will cause the fan to over work its self, and put a strain on the wires and circuit breaker and cause a hot electronics smell. Did the electrician feel the circuit breakers to see if any of them are warmer or hotter than the others ? That is a quick and easy thing to do to start to figure out what is going on. Mostly the circuit breakers will protect you from the wires starting a fire unless the wires are old and out of date. Did the inspector check for that before you bought the house ? Some old circuit breakers need to be "exercised" once a year to keep them working. Otherwise they will stick and not trip when there is an over current condition and that WILL cause a fire. To "exercise" them one only needs to flip them to the off position then back to the on position. Good luck, I hope you dont burn to death, from what I hear, that is a very painful way to die. Though it is better to error on the side of caution, the smell could be from many other things too. Perhaps a neighbor starts their car or truck every day around that time and the vehicle needs a tune up or runs on veggie oil. I live down wind from a restaurant and every time they fire up the grill for the first time of the day it smells like non food burning smells.
I read Girl in a Band over the summer and it was pretty good. I guess I expected it to be more about the music industry, less about Kim's personal life. I liked hearing her stories about Kurt and Pixies and Neil Young though. Also the book led me to really get into Sonic Youth and I think if I had previously been into them I would of enjoyed it more. If you like the book (or even if you don't) You MUST READ Just Kid's by Patti Smith.It is my 3rd favorite book of all time and more than anything else in the world it has inspired me as an artist. So so so beautiful and definitely more interesting to read than Girl in A Band (No offense to my gal Kim Gordon)
Emma! once a cat poops somewhere they often make a habit of going there. If you squeeze lemon over where they did the poop they won't do it there :) xx
