Compared to Chapter 1, there is so much filler! They took many of the things we used to get and repackaged them in a new pass or removed them. They added 4 skins in the old passes on top of 3-5 unique emotes/dances. Now it's full of filler. Things have changed since I quit playing Season X. Many things I like, but some leave a bad taste in my mouth. They don't even have much sprays, and they took out pets??? like who wouldn't like that? that's the type of filler I want not some car reskin.

Hi, thank you for your thoughts and your analysis of the situation. I agree and disagree in different areas, but I agree that the general direction is there!
You said that switching to weekly caps instead of daily is detrimental to players who cannot log in every day, but I don't see a daily cap or ceiling as you do get the XP from all the rewards like Kickstart challenges, dailies, etc. For me, just between using the Fireplace and playing maybe 2 matches a day right now due to time constraints, I can get between 3 and 6 levels each day, so I am not worried about missing a few days, and I haven't felt a big difference to before. It is a bit slower overall than OG, but both OG seasons were incredibly easy to level, so I did not worry about it. Doesn't feel much slower than the other seasons, but that might be due to my laid-back playstyle ;)
I completely agree that the prices for Kicks are way too high and a shameless money grab! I will not pay what I pay for a skin or even a pickaxe for Kicks! It is a total money grab, and it seems to be working, the car prices got adjusted very quickly, the Kicks do not suffer from this setback, despite the fact that many content creators agree that they are too expensive. I hope that Epic DOES adjust the prices, if not, I will not buy them right now. I might snatch a bundle or two when they eventually come out, but they lost a potential COLLECTOR of Kicks with THOSE prices. And I say that owning around 1,200 skins. The whole car thing did not catch my attention, although I did get an overpriced one and was very glad that they adjusted the prices for it, Kicks would have been the next interesting collectible because I love to mix and match my outfits, but this is just not possible. I spend enough on Fortnite as it is ;)
About the battle pass changes: I might have misunderstood, but they said that if you get the passes for money/v-bucks, you level like before, so you should get all the levels you played already. It is only once you activate Cew that it changes, at least that is the way I understood it. If in fact you only get battle pass levels once you activate the battle pass with v-bucks, then it is a big change, and then the season level does not mean anything any more.... I will have to look into this.
Your personal situation with Epic and your v-bucks is a disgrace. I personally bought both the LEGO pass and the Festival pass shortly after they came out, and I did receive 1,400 v-bucks twice. I do hope that you can get your v-bucks back too!
Overall thoughts: I agree that Epic is increasing their prices and ways to keep players engaged, but as a laid-back player who ignores Fortnite for a few weeks sometimes for other games and still manages to complete the battle pass and most other passes, I have to say they immensely improved their way of leveling the passes. I remember I was getting so frustrated with how Epic spaced their mini passes and then Festival passes so that you had to play a specific mode in order to get everything, I was not able to keep up with the grind and hated Epic for it (as much as you can hate a faceless company). I dropped out of Fortnite completely, still managing to complete the main battle passes at the end of the season with minimal effort. Now, you can play anyway you want and still get levels in all the passes, which I enjoy already with the OG pass and the current pass, you level for two days and splurge on 2 passes instead of one. So as a casual player and collector, I do agree with their overall strategy of unifying the passes. The increase of the battle pass v-buck price does not irk me, all prices increase over time, and the pass price was always stable, increasing v-buck pack prices not withstanding because you can get all the necessary v-bucks for the next pass from playing/only paying once.
Oh, and I do agree that hiding basic styles in the bonus content is not good sportsmanship, it is okay for me that they do not have a lot of challenge rewards because those could become "extra work" at times for me too 😅
    Best regards
    Chris

Yea I do really like that all passes level simultaneously now makes it so much better. Overall they make some good decision and then some that make you wonder what they’re thinking😂
