Dear Mr, Sayyad Aldin: Salam: I applaud your thinking with regard to governing Iraq by separating faith from governing the country, that be Iraq's government or to be for any of the Islamic countries too. My family lived in Iraq before it was named Iraq, my forefathers lived there for over 6775 years. I'm making this statement with respect to all Arabs or the Islamic government that came to the land between two rivers in 612 Ad, and you calculate the difference of years that we were there thousands of years prior to Islam, yet until today we are considered as third class citizens. . Just because we were born as Christians, Jews, Yazidi, or all of the other people of faiths. Imagine, never once, did we hold the position of the Iraqi President. Yet, we are all devoted to Iraq, we defended Iraq when the government of Iraq called upon us to fight against its enemies. We served Iraq in every aspect of its future, that may be in education, or in building the infrastructures of Iraq, or in medicine, air force, or the arm forces, and we as Iraqi citizens devoted our life to protect Iraq equally if not more than the Muslim citizens of Iraq and had done our best for Iraq. Yet, we never once could climb to the position of being the head of the Iraqi government. The reason behind all of that is due to our faith. And, how could our faith make us less loving or protection of our homeland? After all, we are the indigenous people of Iraq. Sure, we love our land as much as our brother Muslim citizens of Iraq? I wish that one day, your statement to separate faith from governing, to be implemented in Iraq's future. As you stated, faith is between man and God, and the country is for all its citizens. I hope that your dream of separation between faith and country comes true for the sake of all Islamic countries. . Give the citizens of the Islamic countries of different faith a chance, they may turn the country into a better future for all of its inhabitants, regardless of their Prophetic affiliation. God bless.
