Fun fact: In gaming, “fluff” refers to the extra feel-good details that enhance the overall experience but aren’t crucial to winning or progressing. The same applies to reselling-too much fluff might feel like you're building your store, but it can actually slow you down! Stick to quality over quantity and stay disciplined! 💪🚀

In my 2nd yr of FT reselling I have changed to looking for media/toys/games/ties/hats first. If I have time I will look at other items. I have changed from looking at cheap "buy price" vs "price for value" as well as other factors like ease of storage, and how long it takes to pack to ship. For example, I no longer will buy breakable items unless they net me $50+ due to storage room & shipping difficulty. I am one person, I can't spend all day packing breakable items. On the other hand, I will buy outdoor/active stuff all day long (like baby backpacks, motorcycle stuff, tennis racket) even if I just make $ 10 profit because I can pack it and store in my shed till the season & its a viable category to niche in my area that Im hoping to expand this year

@@Mel_Flips_It I totally agree with you on this. Shifting from just looking for low-cost items to considering "price for value" really shows how our approach to reselling evolves. It’s not just about getting the cheapest buy price anymore-it's about understanding the bigger picture: how easy something is to store, how long it takes to pack and ship, and how it might help attract new customers or bring in more traffic. Sometimes, overpaying for an item can actually make more sense in the long run because of the value it brings to the business. As we continue to learn and grow, our strategies naturally evolve to align with what works best for our stores and our goals. It’s amazing to see how this process shapes the way we make decisions!
