  • For the price and features, the Lumintop TOOL AA 2.0 is the best AA EDC flashlight currently available. Today we’re going to put it through some performance and abuse tests to see if it lives up to my opinion.

    I carried the earlier non led tail switch for about a year, until my daughter lost it. Ordered another one and it ended up having the led switch. So far I think it's a great improvement. A white flashlight with led makes it extremely easy to locate.
    Everyone is always blown away with how much light this thing can generate.

    You were wondering if you can turn off the tail switch light. Yes you can. This flashlight has 2 modes of operation. 1) tail capethod on/off and cycle. 2) twist heas method. If you use the twist head you can turn the light on and off and cycle through. And its pretty sweet because it's only a very subtle twist back and forth.
    However if you prefer the tail cap method. Then to turn off the tail cap light, you just need to twist the head slightly clockwise.
    To be honest, I'm digging the twist head method. Hope that helps.
    BTW...this light is SICK. I might get the more expensive package that come with the 14500 battery and magnetic tail cap.

    This flashlight is a steal and it's fantastic plus very bright. At first I thought will it be good? I got it and ordered it again in amazon uk. It's amazing how bright this flashlight is with 14500 battery! Mine came with 14500 battery and I'm impressed with it. One thing I'd like to see come with it is another 14500 battery or usb cable. Glad I bought this little bright flashlight!!!

    • @MoondogIndustries
      @MoondogIndustries  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it's bright enough for use as a CQB weapon light. Though it's a lot thinner than a typical taclight. You'll have to wrap a rubber, foam or layers of tape to shim it for a 25mm or 30mm mount.

    • @DinnerForkTongue
      @DinnerForkTongue 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can but I wouldn't recommend it. It doesn't have a spring on the head end, so the recoil will make it lose battery contact. Get something with two springs instead.
      Also as Moondog said, it's too small to fit regular mounts. I recommend an 18650 torch instead, like the Convoy M1 or C8+.

    Not sure why I wasn't subscribed, I took your advice on the Missouri tac recoil pad & pistol grip for the sub 2k and made it a whole new gun. And now this light! Used it at work(HVAC) and it was great, super bright and lightweight. I was half way through eating dinner when I ran downstairs to the washer machine..... I had forgotten to take this flashlight out of my pants and the wash cycle was already done. Not to worry though because it was perfectly fine just as yours was in the review, not a single drop in the housing. Thank you for recommending actual good products unlike most TH-camrs now-a-days.
