Wish you could have seen that yard when I was a kid. The tracks were excellent; there were huge buildings up and operating; tons of people worked there; many freights came in and out of there; lots of classification sorting gong on..... It was really neat. It's saddening to see the vibrancy of the place die off. The roundhouse burnt to the ground on the day of my grandpa's funeral (who worked in the yards) I went to the funeral smelling of burned creosote. I thought it was fitting.
