The Castlevania Lords of Shadow franchise in these kind of games that appear like that, with which you fall in love with their aesthetic, atmosphere and beauty but then is left unfamous. The gaming industry is such an unfair place to live in. These kind of games are the one you don't forget and have a special place in your heart. That's the case for me. I write it, 4 years later, I know nobody will see it but I had to say it. I understand Gabriel's story and fate. It is just beautifully described and done.
I loved the first game but I think 2 was massively disappointing. There are streaks of brilliance running through it but it is ultimately hampered by poor and inconsistent design.
When Dracula is making his way out of the church for the first time, wearing that kind of red blanket, all wretched, old and wrinkled, you can hear this (starts at 0:45), it transmites an aura of isolation, maybe emptiness or desolation. I just love that moment, so short and so perfectly done.
One day I was playing lords of shadow 2 and the awakening theme started playing, I immediately stopped playing and contemplated the beauty of that music... The other day I dreamt about that song and woke up crying...
