The baked bean recipe is amazing. The end result is absolutely delicious. This is the best baked bean recipe I have every tried, and it is definitely my go to. A hit at every cookout and constantly requested. Now, don't go changing or substituting a danged thing. The recipe is perfect as presented. Thanks, Brian!
These beans were a 10/10. Exactly as you said sweet, spicy, acidic and porky. I made them for our Father’s Day diner and my dad said they were the best baked beans he’s ever had.
My family goes off the grid for a week every year. I cook all of the food and this year the stars of the show are your carnitas al pastor and these baked beans. I make everything ahead of time and right now, my kitchen smells like heaven.
My wife an I had our parents over for our 1 year anniversary. I smoked a pork butt for 14 hours and made the Street Corn Salad with fresh sweet corn. We followed the recipe 100% and it was perfect. 100% new favorite side for bbq or tacos. Thank Brian. We love your channel, keep up the great content.
Rewatching this video for the Cole slaw recipe and pleasantly reminded that the street corn is the best thing I’ve pulled from this page. Thanks Brian!

We made the street corn for our family Easter BBQ cookout and it was a HIT. We really wanted something different from the usual mayo based potato or pasta salads, something with some crunch to it. This really hit the mark with texture and wonderful flavor. The only deviation we did to the recipe was to roast the diced Jalapeno in with the corn - it just made sense to us, don't know if it really made a measurable difference in the outcome. But it's an unqualified success and now has a place in my favorite recipe binder to be repeated often. Thanks Brian 🌽🌽🌽

Non Pro tip. I'm doing 2 of these. the white part of the spring onions from the corn recipe can replace the onion at 0:49 for the beans. My plank ribs have about 3 hours to go, so I'm checking out sides. Beans and corn grabbed my attention. Will make the cabbage for the leftovers on a bun. Going to add 2 ancho's I dried in place of the jalapenos. Kid friendly and all that.

Brian, quick suggestion for cutting corn off the cob: Use an angel food cake pan. I'm from South Africa and I must say we do similar sides. Curry tomato sauce style baked beans and a sweet and savory coleslaw with our braai(BBQ), my mother in law actually does this weird thing where she adds cherries and marshmallows with mayonnaise, the corn thing I'll definitely give a go looks delicious and spicy. I really like your recipes and I'm going to make all 3 of them this weekend when I braai steak, chicken, wors(south african sausage) and garlic bread.

Back for my 3rd or 4th time bringing the Street Corn to a family gathering. Do this one folks, it kills every time and is so easy. PS - I cheated and used frozen corn last time and you just need a little more time at a lower heat at first to thaw, then carry on like the recipe. Great stuff!
This elote recipe is dope! I use a bit of red onion in place of the scallion, diced fine and added to the corn as soon as it comes out of the pan. Sweats it just enough to mellow out and DANG is it good!

Baked beans is my favorite!! It is very close to our cuisine (on the Balkans, Bulgaria to be more specific). We have a ton of ways to prepare it and one of them is baked in a clay pot, looks very similar to that one you prepared.
Seriously, imagine a world without Native Americans we'd never have Corn, Beans, Potatoes, or Tomatoes. They might be the most important and positively impactful people ever. I love Beans and Corn
@@krono5el Totally agree with you! I can't imagine that world. Since these cultures came to Europe, they are a staple here on the Balkans (especially beans, potatoes and tomatoes). A lot of traditional recipes include them and actually they grow very well here. Corn too, but we don't use it as much as the others.
I just made the slaw and it is amazing. I didn't have grainy mustard so I used dijon and 2.5-3 gms of mustard seed in the dressing and it work well as a substitute.
for the Esquites/Elote Salad, if you're making this ahead, you might be better off using garlic powder. Going off +I Am Andong 's slaw video, raw garlic tends to get stronger over time as the juices text to form more alicin, and microplaned garlic would be the most intense version of that. Garlic powder tastes different, but doesn't change as much over time.
What a great idea with the salad spinner! We used to have a rotisserie chicken restaurant that had the most unbelievably delicious coleslaw (and chicken) I've ever had. They put pineapple juice in the dressing.
For those looking to make the elote salad for a gathering or for a garnish: make far more than you need. It disappears in minutes. If by some chance you have some left over, it can be eaten within a few days on literally anything.
Ok, so, please try this if you have the chance. These are great sides, but.. of you are doing chicken, grated beetroot (preferably fresh boiled), and aioli.. pick your mayo/garlic levels to your liking, but this is a god-side for basically any chicken dish that isn't serves in soup form! (From Eastern Europe, with love!)
Been meaning to post a comment for a while. While all the recipes in the video are good, the corn salad is life-changing. My wife and I have made that ~4 times since the video was posted, one was today for Thanksgiving. I have shared this video with about a dozen people and everyone says the same thing.
Love that corn! I've been making a similar recipe for a while now. I'm going to try yours next. Same with the coleslaw ... Some really good tips that I didn't know. Thank you! Mine doesn't last long in the house, but it does end up bathing in the watered down dressing after sitting in the fridge over night

I made the Mexican street corn salad as a side last weekend for my pork BBQ and steamed shrimp dinner with guests. Also made a couple of other sides I have been making for years. The street corn salad was the star of the meal. Everyone raved about it. Great recipe. Thanks!
I made the corn salad for the fourth, my friend said it was the BOMB.. everyone loved it
Baked beans is my favorite!!
I was looking for a comment like this. If Brian would have (maybe he has) tried prebranac bet the bean dish recipe would look different :D
I just made the slaw and it is amazing. I didn't have grainy mustard so I used dijon and 2.5-3 gms of mustard seed in the dressing and it work well as a substitute.
Thank you for your lovely compliment. I hope my recipe was able to help you in your cooking.
Love the rinsed onion tip. Thank you
Thank you for your lovely compliment. I hope my recipe was able to help you in your cooking.
All 3 recipes look amazing and I'm definitely saving these, but admittedly I was more excited seeing Schnuck's packaging on that corn!
Yeahhhhhh! Bringin' to my family reunion. I do like green bell pepper in my coleslaw
for the Esquites/Elote Salad, if you're making this ahead, you might be better off using garlic powder. Going off +I Am Andong 's slaw video, raw garlic tends to get stronger over time as the juices text to form more alicin, and microplaned garlic would be the most intense version of that. Garlic powder tastes different, but doesn't change as much over time.
Planning on making this today. How much do you think you would use in replacement for this recipe?
Gotta be one of the best quick multi recipe vids out there
It was the, "Don't say anything... just don't." I'm now a subbie 😂😂😂😂 also ELOTE IS THE WAY TO MY HEART!!
What a great idea with the salad spinner! We used to have a rotisserie chicken restaurant that had the most unbelievably delicious coleslaw (and chicken) I've ever had. They put pineapple juice in the dressing.
I do a cold roasted corn, black bean salad with cilantro, chili powder and mayo and sour cream. Probably hits the same place but it looks delicioso.
love love LOVE that you've been doing basically 3-in-1 vids for the sides... and you're right. why not make all 3 for the next bbq?!?
Made the BBQ beans for a group of friends, came out great, I love the acidity in this recipe.
This looks amazing, but also looks like it creates a lot of dirty dishes. You're sense of humor is awesome!
Made the corn salad for F1 night at my parents' place
Wild success, everyone loved it. I'll absolutely be making that one more often
Been meaning to post a comment for a while. While all the recipes in the video are good, the corn salad is life-changing. My wife and I have made that ~4 times since the video was posted, one was today for Thanksgiving. I have shared this video with about a dozen people and everyone says the same thing.
Oh my god, burst out laughing at the cornsilk removal comment. Too funny!
