He's spot on. Mardle is basically telling people to cheat and it's ok to cheat. Mardle is a 110% Numpty along with Harrington, two average players in their day. Wish Sky/PDC get rid of them, happy with the girls and John Part is a great commentator and all round lovely guy.
Harrington was a million times better than Mardle

My algorithm brought me to this clip. Gary said he'd be back firing the next year, and he did just that. Lost in the semi-final in an honestly fought hard battle against an honest hard fighting opponent who went on to win the championship. Gary has won the World Championship two times and nearly won a third. Mardle's biggest achievement was wearing loud shirts while losing.
I'm a fan since the 90's, he's a sportsman and a gentleman.
U would never hear John Part say something stupid like slow down to put him off because he knows what it take's to be a 3 time world champion he beat Taylor in a final when Taylor was at his best after winning 8 in row .Part is the best to commentate a game since Sid in my opinion .
The best way to get into somebody’s head at the oche is to score consistently and hit your doubles. I thought this years final between Michael Smith and Peter Wright was a textbook case of how a professional darts match should happen. If you require theatrics to put another player off, find something else to do. Gary Anderson is a MAN.

I dunno. I dont know enough about the rules of darts. I recognise in any game theres a given correct ettiquette but so long as a player isnt break any definitive rules then surely its fine. I liken this to snooker, probably unfairly, but , if I played a player who could clearly outscore me, then I would resort to tactics to give myself the best chance, if it infringed on rules, regulations then that would be a very different thing.
I think darts is a game of immense skill and with such a small element of luck, be that bad luck or good luck and that not all players play at the same pace. I wonder if darts is becoming akin to domino's in that after every match a stewards enquiry is warranted as to why a player did this or didnt do that rather than just letting the result stand for what it is, ultimately professionals at a given challenge have to be mentally strong to deal with what other players offer up. I could be very wrong on this, regarding darts etc as I just dont know the game that well, or maybe I am just missing something here.
Man I like players like Ando, please don't retire yet. We need some of the old school players around.

Gary Anderson.. When he's good he's something.. When it's the other side of the coin it is what it is. Sometimes Gary ain't worth 3 cheers on the oche. But he is always professional. His comment about Harrington reminds me of a Rob Roy way of putting it.. McGregor despite them. Mardle was a treble 5 gammy mockney.

I've stopped watching darts because of sky perpetrating ungamemanship . There's no place for it in darts, snooker or any club sports. These games get played in social clubs up and down the country and you would not get out alive with such behaviour, it's cheating.

I’m the same Anderson is my all time favourite ever darts player.
He hasn’t been the most active player on the circuit for the last couple of years he has dropped. As his gone through the tournament his got better and better his playing himself in so to speak.
It’s gonna be a great game he has tomorrow the pace should be just right for him.
If Anderson wins tomorrow I’d put me last fiver on him winning the whole thing.

Used to think Gary was just easily rattled, but I kinda get his point now. It’s not a great example to set for young players coming through to tell them to try and put off an opponent.
It happens in all sorts he just needs to get on with it, it put himself off just stewing on it.

I don’t watch darts as a general rule but this popped up on my TH-cam timeline. Total respect for Gary after watching this. It doesn’t matter what the sport is, it’s about sportsmanship. It’s good to see someone being honest about their sport.
