I also love that though Oliver was in 95% or more of the scenes, this was an episode that featured EVERYBODY, including E1 Laurel!!! Woo hoo! We saw all of NTA, including Rene, we saw Adrian and Diaz, we saw William, Diggle, Quentin played a big and important role here and essentially saved Oliver. That poor man has been taking licks all season though. Dinah abused him many times, and now Oliver(high on vertigo) knocks him out HARD.

this episode was almost like a *psychological thriller.* cuz for a while you didn't know what was real and what was a vertigo-induced hallucination. then not only laurel but prometheus himself show up out of nowhere and my mind was completely blown the majority of this episode was sold almost entirely on stephen amell's *acting chops* and he delivered big time. whether it be with the stark realization that everyone is abandoning him or that the city he cares so much for is slowly *spiraling down the drain* of corruption and there's nothing he can do to stop it, stephen sold me on oliver's *fear of isolation* and most importantly *failure* as a father and hero. amell most definitely *did the damn thang* this episode. all of us who have watched him make this role his own from the beginning should feel somewhat proud to bear witness to the sheer skill with which this man *undertakes* his craft. 😉 (pun intended) #amellDESERVESaraise

You could say it’s both, since Diaz is what’s making him realize the mistakes he made and/or using those mistakes to slowly break him down, anddd the fact that he is experiencing the consequences of his own actions and how hard it is to deal with them is what's helping Diaz to easily take over star city.
Master Roam what's helping diaz *take over the city* is that damn near everyone involved in governance or a political position of power in star city is corrupt *from the top down* and diaz exploited it. those things have *nothing to do* with oliver's issues or mistakes as the leader of team arrow, it just means he'll be forced to go solo more when he deals with them

Great episode . Definitely one of ,if not the best episode of the season . Outside of the half baked inter team conflict , I i have liked everything else about this such as Oliver being a father ,the different approach to the Big Bads etc .i liked Cayden and I think Diaz is alright so far ,I like the actor but he just hasn’t had a lot of screentime ,I don’t mind that he’s just a crime boss trying take over the city but I hope we learn more about him .

what’s the point if they actually go with the “redemption” of black siren were just gonna get black canary again, just this time her from earth 2 and her not knowing anyone from this earth at all, it’s like rebooting her character in a realllly lazy way and it wouldn’t feel right, basically it wouldn’t work nor would it make sense and the whole point of “black siren” won’t even be there anymore
I think it really depends on how you're defining redemption. I don't think the writers intend for her to become a straight up hero. I envision something more along the lines of Black Cat or Catwoman. In other words, someone who won't hesitate to commit a crime if it's in her best interest, but who has a certain line they won't cross and a certain person they'll always be willing to help. For that reason, I think the end of this episode is the beginning of the end for her and Diaz. At the moment, she's thinking only of the potential opportunities for her with Oliver out of office. Really soon, however, she's going to realize that Quentin is now the mayor, and he won't be playing along with Diaz. We already saw her warn Diaz to not try and pressure Quentin, but with him becoming Mayor Lance, that seems inevitable. In the end, I have little doubt she'll choose Quentin over Diaz.
I thought Felicity put most of the money she had left into the business with Curtis, which is still an ongoing thing (that surprised me when they said that). I think that bit at the end is the beginning of the end for Diaz and Black Siren. Her initial response is, "great, open for business".
