Fun fact: Genos got this upgrade to mimic how Saitama fought with him when they were "fooling around." Going behind the enemy and just doing punches.
I didn’t notice it til someone else told me and I’m like oh shoot it matches pretty well…it’s always that intimidating dash to the back and look of death except genos isn’t as fast as saitama to give that death punch lol

The funny thing is that Saitama states he sees Genos being "a little faster" while even Sonic can't see him moving clearly.
That would explain why Saitama says martial arts are just "moves that look cool".
His perception is so increased he sees things moving more slowly than usual, so to him martial arts are literally people moving in a cool way.
Imagine how dangerous Saitama would be if he got a Blackbelt in each martial art just for fun. O_O That's on top of what he has already as well. :)

I don’t see peoples issues with seasons 2 animations. Sure it’s not a good as season 1 but it’s not as bad as people make it out to be, I actually enjoyed season 2
Same. Aside from some weird moments with art style and a little laziness in detail (like shadows and facial details), I am enjoying it a lot so far. People really need to give season 2 more appreciation…

Sonic is brutal, but Saitama is much more powerful, what interests me the most about this character is that he considers surpassing Saitama in some way, it's comical and exciting... Besides, what the fuck happens to Sonic's sense of justice? In the Deep Sea King episode he appears to be noble, but we also see him attacking civilians just to fight Saitama, Hard to understand 😂😅

This fight scene isn't bad but personnally I expected soooo much better! This fight is absolutely beautiful in the manga, an aesthetical masterpiece (like every fight drawn by Murata sensei in general). So i was really expecting something at least on the level of beauty as the animation of Saitama vs Genos fight from season 1.
Here the way I felt after watching this was "meh.." I thought maybe my screen resolution is just too low, so I set it to the maximum and it was still not that great.
It's messy, there's no back and forth of the camera between wide angles and close up like there was in the SaitamaVsGenos fight of season1, everything feels very stiff and cramped, too much close up. Not only we can't breathe cause everything feels too much "in the face" but also it takes away a key element of Sonic scenes from the manga, it's the fact that this guy has a lot of aerial choreography in his movements, like Spiderman.
He jumps a lot and Yusuke Murata spent a lot of times detailing all his movements, jumps, landing, and you can tell he had fun drawing the aerodynamic mid-air pauses of Sonic. In fact he put so much dedication in Sonic's figure and movements that people in forums and fanmails asked questions like: "why does Sonic look so good in this fight? He's so graceful in his movements in the GenosVs Sonic fight that he almost look feminine! I thought Sonic was a girl! Sonic has no business looking so sexy and feminine!"
To which if i remember correctly Murata responded that he likes drawing feminine figures but didn't get to draw a lot of women recently so he went off with Sonic because as a ninja he's supposed to have something almost feline about the way he moves, and also because Murata likes drawing fight scenes so he thought he could do both in one with the character of Sonic.
And this difference of Sonic's aerial- almost feminine- ninja agility combined with Genos' raw masculine power made for a really interesting fight based on extreme speed. tbh I thought this fight was gonna be the animator's time to shine and show off what they got like they did in the Saitama Vs Genos fight of season1
So i was really expecting something much more INTENSE! More colorful, with a super intense background music, lots of very different angles (wide angles, close up, high angle, low angle, rotating angle, etc..) and change of speed, sometimes super fast, sometimes slow motion, lots of jumping, dodging and 1000x more fluidity in the animation, almost like a dance but super fast and destructive
Here we got: lot's of talking, lots of close-up, lots of smoke and cloud of dusts to not have to draw backgrounds, many still shots to gain time (or sometimes there's just the mouth moving cause they talk but otherwise it's still), special effects on dark backgrounds, slow mo scenes where the artstyle of their faces looks kinda half assed and not very pretty like at 1:33 and many other moments, cramped fight scenes like at 1:43 in moments where a wide moving angle would have been so cool. Overall the viewpoint of the entire fight is just so narrow it almost feels claustrophobic. I feel like I saw to much and yet I didn't see anything at the same time.
But apart from that it wasn't that bad. It's just that it wasn't particularly good either. And it's just my opinion, everyone is free to disagree with me of course

Seeing people bitch about the quality of season 2 animation convinces me that season 1 is both a blessing and a curse to this series. Guess it can't be helped that s1 is the measuring stick for the future seasons done in this anime.

This fight animation is not great in general with how many tricks they did to save animation Time at the expense of quality (backgrounds mostly , but some scenes are just AWFUL)
Edit : the main problem about this fight is that there's no work with the camera, so it can feel suffocating with how much its constantly zoomed in

Ok speed-o-sound sonic's speed is impressive, knowing that flashy flash is faster. Saitama's the fastest ofc, but it's flashy flash at second. Either way, Speed-o-sound sonic is good given his name.
Flashy got thrashed by Platinum S and Garou finished off Platinum S. And Blast's true power is still not demonstrated but Flashy already said he's one of the four guys who surpassed or at least matched his speed. Flashy really fast but he ain't got the 2nd place
