Hale, Thanks for the comment. I understand how stressful this can be! I was once there too. My recommendation is to just slowly work yourself up higher and higher. Play it like this. Ri to Ro, then add one, Ri Ro Tsu, then add one Ri Ro Tsu Re, then add again and again. For each one, try to nail it accurately 3 x each. This will help build consistency as well as build in muscle memory for slowly tightening your embouchure to play each subsequent note. What am I doing wrong when I can only go into Kan for Ro, Tsu and Re but not higher? Any higher and I can only play the otsu notes.
