Almost cried at the end, I'm also in an interracial relationship, living far away from my home city. I totally feel you every time when I had to say goodbye to my grandparents. You're loved by the whole world Taylor! 💕
The glasses were soooo thoughtful! My bro-in-law's dad is an optometrist and he told us a few years back from a conference he had attended how the blue light from screens(phone, tv, computer, tablets) is so bad for your eyes and there were studies with emerging evidence it was a leading cause for macular degeneration. Also obviously blue light in everyday light and there's a lot in fluorescent lighting. I am on the computer watching TH-cam and gaming for hours everyday plus on my phone throughout the day, plus computer work at my office job in fluorescent lighting and was getting bad eyestrain, a few times so bad, I was on bedrest basically because my eyes would itch and burn and clench close automatically and I wouldn't be able to open them without forcing them with my fingers and such and then my eyes would be running so badly, my vision was blurred anyways. I have perfect vision, but went last year and got a pair of glasses with no prescription but with the blue coating on them to help block out the blue light. Haven't had any issues since. Its so important to think of the future and take care of our bodies while they are healthy.
I use an app called f.lux on my computer that automatically turns down the blue ... it even adjusts it by the time of day. It's subtle enough that I don't really notice it anymore, but I'm sure Taylor wouldn't want to use something like that while editing videos, so the glasses are great!
Taylor, I wanted to thank you ! You were part of my daily routine this past month, which was really difficult because of exams ! But each night, I watched your vlogmas and it was a really great study break ! But yeah, this month went by too quickly and I'm sad that's over ! But, again, thank you again for your hard work ! I think it’s been about three or four years since I started watching your TH-cam videos. It’s crazy to think about how much time has flown by but thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life. A lot of your videos helped me understand myself a little bit better when I was going through a time where I wasn’t sure what I was doing with my life. You encouraged me to just dive head first for my dreams and to do what makes me happy, even if no one else agrees with me. This year, back in March, I finally made the move to Japan and started working as a teacher. I don’t know if you remember the letter I sent you (I think you were still living alone in Japan), but you ended up reading it during your mail time and it made me so happy. I remember mentioning how my dream was to move to Japan. It’s absolutely crazy where life takes us. You and Tom are wonderful people and it’s so nice being able to see you guys grow together. I wish you all the best for 2019 😊

Hey Taylor, I'm a Canadian expact myself working in Dubai. I've been watching your videos for over 2 years now. I get to go home to Toronto a couple of times a year but yesterday I was supposed to go home for newyears but managed to break my foot 5 hrs before the flight. Now instead of going home to Canada I'm stuck here and will probably spend newyears alone. I'm absolutely heart broken right now, and to be honest watching this vlog is a bit bitter sweet. But either way, I'm glad you're home and had a great time. Everyone else, please don't take being with your family for granted, it's a very precious thing.

This is the first vlogmas I've watched all the way through, I'm so proud of myself. I was expecting it to be 30 days until i remembered Christmas is only till the 25th. I enjoyed it very much, it was good to get your reflections on the month compared to the previous years
