I've been there as well. He was handsome, smart, and in middle class. I can compete with his brains but nobody knew about it. They only saw our outer image and I felt like they saw a big difference. What's worst was we were living on the same street. Whenever he walked me home, I felt like people were staring. Low self-esteem can ruin good relationships and better opportunities. From then on, I tried to learn how to love myself. I think I learned too much though for I've been single ever since I broke up with that guy. Lol.

I'm not fat but my hair always looks like a mess. Especially when I bound it to a ponytail, so I do that rarely, but one day I was determined to wear a ponytail. I've been there as well. He was handsome, smart, and in middle class. I can compete with his brains but nobody knew about it. They only saw our outer image and I felt like they saw a big difference. What's worst was we were living on the same street. Whenever he walked me home, I felt like people were staring. Low self-esteem can ruin good relationships and better opportunities. From then on, I tried to learn how to love myself. I think I learned too much though for I've been single ever since I broke up with that guy. Lol.
Soo ji is not even overweight, she still looks ok in my opinion, maybe because ppl see her chubby face and quickly assume she must be overweight or somtin. But if you look her proportion from head to toe she is definitely fine. Well but again this drama is from korea where they expect men and women to have perfect appearance. But the phenomenon of insluting "unattractive" woman or man that has attractive partner is definitely not exclusive to koreans only. Most people in Asia tend to do that, though the level of rudeness vary in each countries.
Sometimes I feel bad for those man or woman that is mocked for their "average" appearance just because they have someone attractive to be their partner or spouse. But then again people tend to judge and will always be, that is part of human's dark nature. So whoever that struggle with this kind of problem, I hope you guys for the best and have your happy ending.
