Technically speaking, Kripp did not lose after getting triple Baron, so it isn't clickbait. He used baron with Foe Reaper, Egg, and Kangor's to win late game.

@@SzymiSnake Four targets to hit. Two of them are good, two of them are bad. That's a 50/50. Technically hitting the rover is still pretty good for a cleave, but the refresh on the cobalts makes it not so worth. Wouldn't of changed anything either way though, guy was donezo.
no it was 75% chance to hit. There was no space for refreshes and he has 2 chances of a 50/50, that means the first hit wins half the time and if it doesn´t there is a second hit that hits half the time. Now if u use simple math there are four Outcomes: hit and hit, hit and miss, miss and hit, miss and miss. And in 3 of those cases the Cobalts are dead, because if the first one hits it does not matter what comes afterwards = 50% and if the first one misses but the second one hits it is a 25% chance of killing Cobalts and only 25% of the time the Cobalts do not die. So 50%+25% = 75% or do they not?
@@darkgrundi9543 No, that does not make sense. The cleave could hit double cobalt, double cobalt, rover + Kaboom or Kaboom + Rover. There is no "hit and miss". It either cleaved both cobalts or it missed both. There is four places the cleave could of hit and two were desired. That's 2/4 = 1/2 = 50% chance.

How to fix battlegrounds:
- Rat and wolf swap tiers, if not removing rat entirely
- Cobalt tier 4 *at least*

Probably good changes, but I don't know if they're necessary to the health of the game? I feel like pushing back both cobalt and rat is an indirect nerf to spawn, because they're both bonkers with it.
Cobalt was tier 4 and it was WAY TOO OP because it survived and did 4 damage instead of 3
Well, spawn is too good on 2 compared with other tier 2 cards.
it's a 2/2 and has no downsides, it just wins a lot of games in the early game ._.
so, if you see one, pick it. it's just a really good card.
but well, it's not that powerfull overall.
reaper is an old card, and the powerlevel is waaaay higher than before. he has been 6 since the start, and with shorter games nowdays, reaper on 5 a nice change to give some players a chance to buff him.
but well, anything is nice.
cobalt is just the only problem.
you get a card, level, get a triple. Cobalt. and you keep it.
also it's bad design having a card that it's terrible if you triple it. it's a trap for new players. you should not make your build worse by improving a card.
Kalki, making cobalt a tier four makes it slower to grab, that's gonna have a much bigger impact than 1 damage on a win. I think we can all agree that you shouldn't be able to coast through the early-midgame off the back of one card.
I agree spawn is a really good 2*, my question is more about whether it's _too good_
I think that there might be a case rn, but making it so you can't pick it and a rat/cobalt on the same turn might change that.
As for reaper, yeah no argument here. They should have dropped it alongside sneeds tbh. I disagree about new player traps being bad design though, they teach them how to play optimally. Bigger not equaling better is good design and an important lesson in strategy games.

Sky Claw could maybe work as a 3 drop replacement for Cobalt for mech. Maybe adjust it to a 2/3 that spawns only a single 1/1 so you don't get Chadgar/Brann gold generation shenanigans.
triple Murozond gets you the minons form the enemy Team in golden, you still get the reward for "tripling" the golden minions. Really powerful.

I had a battle earlier today w a golden baron and i had to leave to use the toilet- there was four players left when I went afk - I could hear the battles and timer reset from my bathroom. When I returned I had eliminated all other players. That was five games not buying or doing anything and still beating the other players... I actually felt a bit sorry for the opposition. I was shitting through the finals of the game, and I still won...

New 6 Star Mech: Venomizer 2/2 Poisonous Magnetic. Just imagine a late game board with Foereapers and Cobalts with DivineShield+Poisonous. Should be stronger than Murlocs.

It's true that he's more flexibele than Brann, but he's also more vulnerable.
You forgot to mention that unlike brann, if baron gets sniped at the start in a deathrattle build you insta-lose

To be honest the lightfangs carried Kripp throughout the middle game. That +3 to all minions *sometimes* at the start of the round wasn't strong at all, the lightfangs gave more *relevant* stats each turn, and they actually stayed there forever.
There is often not enough room to actually spawn deathrattle minions in multiple numbers.
Also, if barron gets sniped you insta lose.
Kripp could've had triple lightfang and triple bran, and that would've produced much better results. Same story with only triple bran or only triple lightfang.
Also, opponents didn't develop super strong boards, but it happens sometimes.
Don't get me wrong, I learn a lot from Kripps videos, but barron is eh, IMO. Not scalable, too RNG dependant.

I think it's undeniable that Cobalt is too good. I think the reason we haven't seen them remove or nerf it yet is that they're probably trying to come up with a way to buff mechs alongside a change. Just straight up removing or heavily nerfing cobalt right now would turn mechs into nothing. You would no longer be able to "build mechs" as a tribe.

NERFS are generally bad unless the card is absolutely broken. Cobalt isn't broken at 3 there's nothing wrong with it being good in a bunch of builds. Buff other cards to make them better rather than nerfing imo.

Cobalt is not endgame. He keeps saying like it is, but so many builds wreck it. Dragons, mechs, demon, menagerie. Mech is definitely SAFE, but not an end game strat, if you hit any of those builds above you get maybe top 4 sure. It's just the safe strategy. Literally any cleave build, even end game beast>cobalt. The only thing cobalt has is the safety of top 4. Notice how he beats several double cobalt builds in this very video lol.
