Indeed music teaches you the ethics... I am learning music from my college society and they taught me just like the older times... And now after 2 years of learning... My ethics and behaviour changed drastically... Before learning music i was very unethical and have aggressive behaviour but now i am very much calm and ethical...... And therefore my musical journey is on its way........
Thank you sir... For the eye opening views.. When I used to learn music... My teacher spent about 6 months only on alankars.... And I felt pretty bored back then... But once he started teaching the raags... I realized that I was picking up faster than any other student.... I then understood my teacher and my respect for him became even more strong... My brother is 11 years old, he just learnt music for less than one year and he thinks he has become a singer, he went to SRGMP lil champs and got rejected over there and still he doesn't care......
