Good Lord! - those steps are just challenging coming down, but kudos to the girls who bravely came down effortllessly! - Ms New Yourk, my, she nailed those stairs goodness me! Ms Texas is just gorgeous, so sad however, RIP Chelsi! xx
oklahoma, Maryland, Florida are so beautiful in the evening gown as well as Illinios.. Miss Lousiana Lousiana was so scared of lowering the stairs, I believe that she thought that she was going to fall down.
In the 22 years of watching Miss USA, Miss NY's gown is probably my all time favorite. And I miss these types of gowns so much. How I'd wish they go back to them. Most of these gowns defined Elegance. NY, Texas, Louisiana, Mass, RI, take your pick. And though Illinois' wasn't the traditional type gown, it was designed wonderful, and didn't look trashy, like the gowns of today.
have to agree. the gowns during this time were the typical pageant gowns as oppose to the gowns which came straight from the runway now. though i'd like to reiterate Illinois' gown IMO would still me a hit today.
I love the gowns because the ladies that selected their gowns or the Director selected their gowns represented the gowns that best fit them but also represented their state beautifully. New York had the best contemporary gown and her gown was from the gown shop that is no longer in business. This same gown shop made NY 1993, 1992, CT, NJ, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Colorado. Very busy shop.
That's a long way down if one of them fall the stairs!! Luckily all are very poised! Yikes!!! By the way Illinois was my favorite gown very dramatic going down the stairs with those train! Thats how u catch the judges eyes!
@ROLANDA444 Well of cource as miss usa she had the choice of Kinda choose what gown so I thing her red one was Better she should have wore this dress rite here!
They made it really challenging for the girls to go down! And I don’t like how they changed the music to essentially just humming and an annoying repetition of phrases - not even a real song!
Damn, Shanna! I remember watching this and talking with my Mom and she said “Miss New York just FLOATED down those stairs!” You rocked it girl!
Miss New York's score was well-deserved. Not once did Miss New York look down stepping down those stairs. Oh, and how she did it so flawlessly!
Lol and she didn't bother going slow either!
What no more alone up there? I love that song.
RIP Chelsi Miss Usa and Miss Universe!

Illinois is missing wings! 😄
I thought Miss Louisiana would never make it down the stairs.

Whoever made the idea of putting that stairs of death was a Murderer.
Todos los trajes parecen de la mama de la novia de algun matrimonio
eran de buen gusto, no como esos trajes horrorosos de vedette que se usaban en los 2000s
