You just swipe back after certain attacks (After your first few non spirit combo attacks, After the Spirit Round Slash, after the Spirit Helm Breaker) As for the counter, you just get a feel for it after failing enough times. A tip I can give is that most people fail the counter by letting go too early.
@@RaiyZa_ Not really, I don’t see it being particularly good for LS. It is good for Greatsword however. I would still take the skill on a LS set over something like bleed resistance lol.

What's your armor set and skills looking like? Now with the layered armor, it's going to be hard to tell.
Right now on my Thunder LS set I am using the Coral Pukei hat, Odogaron Mail, Zinogre Braces, Tobi Coil, and Zinogre Greaves.
