@@exterminatordj3901 a lot of the content is designed to be spaced out, and the servers plan it that way so that way content isn't revealed on one persons stream weeks before it's seen on other streams.
It's a way to prevent people from interfering with each others content, while allowing everyone to enjoy themselves.
It also prevents negative content streamers who would rush shit on the server just to show the content first and ruin it for everyone else.
So basically the abyss stuff he was doing like probably end of week 1, they'd probably planned for everyone to start on it week 2 or 3 or something. Basically, no spoilers before a certain date.
They spoke about this in one of the videos sleepy made last time during his last excursion on an offline tv minecraft server

This is why servers like hermitcraft are so good, you can literally do whatever you want without having annoying restrictions of “progressing the server too fast”, things like this usually cause the downfall of servers

I get that the server is supposed to be about RP and player interactions, but it seems decidedly un-fun if you get punished for playing the modpack. And you aren't allowed to look up info on wikis, so you look up a random item, but then it gets banned because it's end-game? Yikes.
Also great endgame if he can get to it in a day?

@@Artimusk end game is end game, it doesn’t matter how easy to get as long as it is top tier. How do you even know it was ‘easy to get’? It is very possible he spent hours at least grinding for his stuff.

I never got into otv and I get they gotta limit some stuff to make the game playable and able to be watched but the amount of times sleepy got in trouble or they took something away for playing the mod pack is astonishing
i rly don’t get why they do that tbh, like they killed Fred but they said they just made dragons difficult to find and they found one so why they can’t keep it? And why i can’t keep a strong armor like is it a pvp server?
It’s so stupid, it’s Minecraft and the admins are acting like their life is depending on it. On top it would be nice for the admins to TELL sleepy what he can and what he can not do. ALSO it’s so stupid they r taking away the stuff that sleepy fought and grinded hours to get, and on top of THAT sucks that the admins didn’t get the endgame stuff before sleepy. Then whine and get what they want because of their “admin” rank.
@@EggyYoke1 I agree it sucks that Sleepy had to get rid of a lot of the stuff that he grinded a long time for, but the decision kind of made sense to me. The whole reason they were telling Sleepy and John that they couldn't have certain things is for the sake of progression and the life of the server. If they get that type of armor, weaponry, dragons, etc. then everyone can get it. And once everyone gets it no one's going to play on the server because eventually everything becomes too easy and you have no reason to really be on the server anymore. So I understand that they expected a natural progression, unfortunately sleepy did not believe in natural progression. Lol 😂 It was more for the life of the server and less of they didn't want sleepy to be stronger than everyone
Yeah, I quite like OTV (admittedly I only watch the videos. I never really watch any streams) but it does seem a bit ridiculous how they keep removing the content.

the fact that they didnt tell the players what they could and couldnt do but expected them to know then made the give up items they worked for for being too "op" and gave them nothing to replace said items would piss me off sm LOL
How is it endgame content if you can go there at the beginning?? And why not lock that behind some kind of progression to begin with. I feel like the admins actually have 0 plan of that they're doing and just keep a lookout for someone doing something that is strong/broken and removing it without doing any reseach by themself(s).
TLDR: You can't have shit on OTV.
Its like terraria's calamity mod, you can get a sword that does 50k damage early game
i like these streams cause sleepy + john is great content but the otv rules are wack. its like every time sleepy finds a cool thing, he has to get rid of it because other people hadn't found it yet lol.
if theyre gonna gatekeep the cool shit they should just make a casual/crafting server like hermitcraft. instead they use mods they dont know the spawn rates for and punish the players for playing
John and sleepy were hands down the best group on the server

If you're playing with OTV admins you're pretty much not allowed to complain about anything because you know if you do it'll get you kicked from their group, and what's more it'll get you hate by their fans as they've done in the past with other streamers that spoke up about it, which lead to their community witch-hunting anyone who was negative towards the group.
It sucks sleepy got forcibly rolled back but he's doing the smartest thing career wise for this whole ordeal and just bowing the knee rather than getting upset that his work is getting trampled on by some fucking admins that release a pack with seemingly 0 testing, who make it a rule to not look any of the mods up but also continually nerf anything that seems to give an edge. Even though the game isn't PvP centric, nor does having any of these "op" items really affect literally anyone else.
yeah props for him and john for taking it like that. i also don't see how "OP" items really have any effect, its not like they're going out and seriously using them on other players lol

seems a bit weird to me honestly, if you don't want people to have acces to e.g. the Abyss, just make the area inaccessible till you want them to do it, there are server who e.g. disable the End for the same reason
