WOW! Great looking bike, you’ve got that baby looking sharp. I can see you’ve been busy. The bags flow so well with the bike. Herbie you definitely have a talent when it comes to styling the bike and even more a great mechanic! And trust me I’m sure you have taught yourself what you know. Keep up the great videos! Can’t wait for more
Thank you! 😊
I like everything you have done to this bike. Finding anything about the Ghost is far and few between on TH-cam. Between you and JerryHawk250, you have shown me more information on how to check, adjust and fix a Chinese 250cc bike. Thank you.
I too was told by a seasoned rider my Ghost looks like something more "American made," and yet I didn't get a thumb down from that person. (Man, I love the riders but not so much the showboats).
And I still think flat black bags look better!
Thank you for your kind words! I’m liking the bike more every time I ride it. Your probably right about the flat black on the bags, it would definitely match better 😊
@@herbiesgarage681 You see, I'm not the only one that thinks they should be Satin Black like the bike. lol 😏
@@JerryHawk250 I like to be different 😛
Yeah, I taught Herbie everything he knows except the stuff he messes up on. 😆Herbies alright for an old guy. HAHAHA!
@@herbiesgarage681 Oh, you are different alright. lol
The Choppa looks great!
Thanks Jerry!
Fantastic work 👏🏾 well done, absolutely beautiful bike
Thank you, I think so too!
Those saddle bags look really good! Very cool bike indeed
Thank you Ryan! I think so too!
I just ordered the bike through red fox powersports I wanna do basically the same stuff that you did to your bike. But IDK about the sprocket change I ordered the burgundy color should be here Monday wish me luck
The sprocket change will be something you will want to do if you want to steadily ride over 55mph. The burgundy color would look really good on this bike I think. I hope everything goes well with you, let me know if you have any questions. 👍🏻
The cell phone holder comes with the stuff for you to mount it in the mirror holder or did you have to modify something?
Hello Chris, yes it came with the bracket to mount it to the mirror location. No modifications needed, just bolt together, you could reuse the stick mirror if you choose to. Just remove the mirror place the bracket under and screw the mirror down.
Do you happen to remember how much exhaust wrap you used. I'm thinking of wrapping mine and didn't know how much to get.
Thanks
If I remember correctly, and it’s been a while since, I bought 50ft and had a little left over when I was done. Your welcome!
I know this is a very stupid question. But I have never used exhaust wrap before. Some say wet before installing some doesn't. Some also to keep color of black to spray with high temp black silicone exhesieve. Just trying to figure out what to buy. Only want to do once and do it right.
As always thank you for any advice you can give me
@@ChrisMoore-vv3qq I always soak my wrap in a bucket and put it on wet. It makes a mess but I feel you get a tighter better wrap myself. The water will burn out of it. I also don’t use the supplied chrome ties, I use mechanics wire and cut in about 6” pieces and wrap around the pipe, twist it for about 5-6 twists and cut off the loose bits then bend down the twisted part. Pretty easy to do once you’ve done it a time or two. The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask so they say 😊
@@herbiesgarage681 do you spray with anything afterwards. Or do you have a brand you like
@@ChrisMoore-vv3qq no spray after and I don’t have any particular brand, they are all pretty much the same
Enjoying the videos…
💥🇺🇸👍🏼🇺🇸💥
Thank you Jim 👍🏻
is the 17 front sprocket factory?
@@JohnBraman413 yes I believe so, I had to change the rear to a smaller sprocket to make it the way I wanted it. There’s no more changes you can make without modifying the front cover to the gearing. It’s at maximum for speed, the way that I have it
Is there a trunck we could possibly add to the back?
I'm sure a person could mount a trunk on the back if they wanted too. The bracket that holds the taillight is pretty sturdy to mount a plate to. The fender is also steel so that would be a good support for a trunk as well. I've used a plastic cutting board for a base before and mount some supports to it and the trunk would mount to that. Or you could buy a rack off of amazon and fabricate it to fit. Myself I like the look of the 2 side boxes without a trunk, kind of has that street glide look.
what's top speed with sprockets you have on?
@@JohnBraman413 my top speed on the interstate was 76 mph GPS verified
Are those the same saddle bags that Venom is selling for $200. They look pretty close and not nearly as expensive
Nice
I’m not sure if they are the same, I haven’t seen the bags they are selling. These work pretty good on the bike though. I like them
@@herbiesgarage681 apparently they are the same because when I went back to Venom website to look the installation video is you from your TH-cam video.
@@ChrisMoore-vv3qq Yes, the video of mine that Venom has of me installing the bags are the bags that I bought off of Amazon. It could be the same bag but I'm not sure
@@herbiesgarage681 they should be paying you for using your video. I'm from Illinois also. I'm in Danville. Where are you?
I wish i knew how to "delete" a cat converter
I decided not to post that for obvious reasons 😬 If you were to buy a performance exhaust, none of the ones I’ve seen comes with a cat in them. My performance exhaust I bought for my KPR was around $165
Thieves seem to be more prevalent all over these days. I always just bring my helmet with me now.
Yeah, it’s a very unfortunate situation for sure
