Tbf, it was edo-Madara, one of his strongest versions (because it had his own alive strength + hashirama sells). Five kage would have destroyed alive Madara, they almost killed him several times, and only reason why he was still alive is edo-tensei. Five Kage > Alive Madara. Hashirama >= Alive Madara, which means Five Kage >= Hashirama.
