Zapper box is now marketing a next gen antenna as "the first antenna specifically designed for ATSC 3.0" but the only ATSC 3.0 feature listed is MIMO. I'm not aware of any stations using MIMO or receivers available to the public that can take advantage of MIMO. Don't give up your old antennas just yet!
Yeah ... While there is no commercially available broadcast equipment currently for it I understand. A 2x2 MIMO broadcast option is a part of the ATSC 3.0 standard to double its 57 mbps max data throughput. Like what was used for a some 113 mbps 3.0 broadcast transmission of an 8K-UHD signal preformed as a feasibility test in South Korea a little while back. But I wonder why Zapperbox is claiming this antenna was specifically designed for their box, when it's apparently been available for awhile now as the "Televes Evoca" (model# 130990). Quick question. I have a Televes antenna as well, but I have to plug in the pre amp in order to get the best reception. Is there a way to connect the Zapperbox and the pre amp at the same time?
I am a moderate tech geek and I am considering getting the ZapperBox or other box as well as adding one or more antennas on my roof. This may help me get rid of some programming for my Directv? However most likely my wife will tell me that there’s programming she doesn’t want to lose on DIRECTV and putting an ugly antenna on the roof is a “hell no possibility”. That being said our Buffalo Bills will have a Game that besides the division against Miami this weekend and Directv is in a dispute with channel 2 so I think the antenna will be up tonight. I’ll go from there. Your channel is great and it seems no matter when I search in TH-cam related to computer or TV or other text off your channel always comes up. Apparently your channel in my interests match in a lot of ways.
I bought it..had problem shutting itself down..zap support was good and fixed the issue..The box must be set on auto time and date to work properly..the a/v is good, duel tuner..detroit area..recieves 1080p,1080 I, 720p, 480.....using clearstream figure 8,,antennas...hdmi to my sony reciever.1 tb micro card for dvr...I am a lot happier now..looks good on my 4k benq ht 4550 I projector...
I only have one unit.. At $249 each it's a lot for something that can be done much more efficiently with an HDHomerun or a Tablo on ATSC 1.0.. And they don't support encryption either in multi-room.

The problem is it doesn't support DRM, and every ATSC 3.0 NextGen channel in my area is DRM encoded!
It's supported DRM for a couple months now at least. I can view every single encrypted channel in my area.
Screw atsc 3, the fcc just insured that we dont need it for a long long time...if i was an station owner i would just shut it off...
