We're so excited to be starting a new rig build with you guys, and we're finally doing a a van! The dream that got this whole thing started!
Our van is a 2010 Ford e350 that we'll be converting into an adventure rig which sits somewhere between the RV and the Jeep in terms of room, capability, and longevity.

We currently live RV Life in a 40' 5th wheel but my next Rv for side adventures will be either a van or a truck camper. Leaning towards a Truck camper because I want 4wd and to be able to stand up (bad back lol). But I love a good van build. Cant wait to see what develops on yours. I defiantly think out of all the vans you looked at this was a great one to start with. Good Luck you all!

I love my Ford 2004 Econowagon 350 XLT.
Your van is clean, solid and beautiful. I'm not a fan of white, but this one is well taken care of.
    Full spare underneath...
Don't forget bathroom needs, and water and heat.

Water and heat are accounted for but we’re still deciding on our bathroom plan. We did 10 days in the Jeep with no toilet this winter and that was surprisingly easier than we expected, but this rig needs to get us 2-3 months for how we’ll use it, and I’m sure some… situations… will come up.

Hello from NC! Just subscribed today.. I have the same van just a few years older and I'm in the process of doing the same thing you're doing.
I just got the bed done last week and I set the bottom of the bed frame 15" above the floor and made it where the rear air didn't interfere with the bed except for the duct piece going up. The only issue is that it makes it kinda tight above the bed. Especially if you're planning on sitting on the bedside.
I also purchased a center jumpseat out of an F350 that was converted to an ambulance. Im planning on mounting it sideways just behind the gas filler bump. It comes complete with the seatbelt and even has some storage compartments too.
Good luck with your build. I look forward to watching it all come together.

Welcome aboard! We’re debating that bed height and leaning toward less sleeping space and more storage space. We’ve spent many a night in a tent we can’t sit up in so the higher bed won’t bother us too much! Send us pics of your build on instagram! @wilderadventuresyt

Too bad it's not just a little bit taller because I think you guys are going to end up wishing that you could stand up straight. That bending down constantly is going to be really hard and tiring on your young Backs.

We’re thinking of it more like a really fancy tent, plenty of standing room outside!
