it´s because the cornstarch and also the paint will block light to penetrate through, so it will never get hard this way. uv resin will get thicker when you let it open a few days to suck up a bit of light, but not enough to harden then you can use a toothpick or any other thing like that to paint with the resin , set it and then use paint or metallic powders on top of that stay creative, as always
That is some good info! I noticed indeed that it is exactly as you say. The second time i used less paint and less cornstarch and then it went better, letting it rest for 1 hour also did help a lot with some holes poked in it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
@@lureblanksU can also try to use the uv-resin as a lense over the painting. I use this sometimes to make individual lure eyes But every particle (Paint/Glitter/Powders) will cause uncured resin underneath
Man keep up the work. I can see you are a real artist, and the ideas you present I would never have thought of on my own. Nice work, I appreciate the effort and instruction.
Hi Rich, the method depends on what kind of lure it is. Depending on if it will get bitten by toothy fish or not. In this video I used an uv resin. In lots of other videos is use a 2 part epoxy. Both are stronger than other clear coats and that is because there is a lot of pike here in Sweden and people want a strong clear coat for that. But you just as well use something that is easier to use and less solid 👌
Unbelievable. Your artistry is 2nd to none. Thanks again
Thank you so much Nick for that amazing compliment! 🙏🙏

Just found your channel and thinking about painting lures, I would like to know what method of finish coating you use ?
Thanks in advance.

I was thinking of using a 2 part epoxy as you mentioned, in the area that you are in with the pike, what brand have you found to work best for you?
@@richwiningar2590 here in Sweden the most used brand is CW lure epoxy. But a lot of people use true coat and are a big fan of that 👌
@@lureblanks Thanks for the info. 👍
@@richwiningar2590 You are very welcome! 👍
