C++ is no 1. Python is for writing wrappers over C++ api's. Even the tensor flow library is written in C++. Typescript is for providing a web interface. Core logic/algo is always written in C++ if you need strong performance. C++ and C can access bare memory. C++ is well organised and highly optimised. Rarely you will find a serious product that does not use C++ in its core engine.
Sad to see rust being set aside for a specific niche usecase. I've been successfully writing rust since 2019 for systems programs, never used it in writing web3 smart-contracts.
