G'day Mate, For the last couple of years, I have shaved my head when I find out a friend or family have been diagnosed with cancer. I have been letting it grow out the last few months. My husband cuts my hair or shaves my head for me. I use shampoo about once a month. I have been using goat milk soap for a couple of years now. All-natural products. I have a couple of friends that make the goat milk soap. I struggle to get in and out of the shower. I have a chair I sit on and it's very confining. I take a shower about once a week to two weeks. I don't really go anywhere or do a whole lot around the house. (It all depends on my peripheral neuropathy.) We are in our cold season here in the desert (we don't get snow where I live). The cold & wet makes my joints swell and makes it hard for me to get around. TFS! Blessings to you my friend. Have a blessed week. ✝🙏🏼💕
@@CynthiasCraftsandmore G’day Mate! You are speaking my lingo girlfriend and you totally get it! 😀 I see you too 🥰 A beautiful way to honour and support your loved ones. I can see that’s the way you roll, being there for others. I got that from the way you support everyone in the community. Take it easy my friend. We are saving water, our own energy and soap! Xx love Trace 🥰
I do use soap for washing my skin my hair is usually once or twice per week because I have psoriasis in my scalp. More often in the summer then winter.
@@AlmostOffGridGrandma I too have suffered psoriasis Krista. This no soap “accident”has been a God send for me. The skin conditions I had have cleared up and I can not imagine using soap again now. Are you interested in trying it out? Xx love Trace 🥰
Morning Trace, I don't always use soap in the shower. I do use a 'soap saver' type thing, so I still get all the dead skin cells off. I also use (the inside) of lemon peels, with a bit of bi carb. Works a treat! Maybe I should do a video about it...!?! Love Susan xx
@@WakeUpToYourself-237 if you have squeezed some lemons, you have the nice damp residue left on the inside. Lemon of course is slightly acidic, which helps soften the skin surface. And a sprinkle of bi carb on it acts like a exfoliant. I have even been known to wipe the occasional lemon peel on my armpits - especially if we start running low on water in Summer, or when camping. Yes, I think I should definitely do a video on this! 'So' many Lemon tips and tricks.... Lol
@N_E_Vicoria yes please do a video, I am and going to try this. I am heading off in feb for two months solo in the road and there will not be much chance for a shower. Great tip! 🙏🏻🥰 xx love Trace
Very interesting! I’ve improved the quality of the soap that I use and that alone helped my dry skin. I certainly understand the challenges a shower presents for you, and I’ve long thought that we’ve been tricked in to thinking a daily shower & shampoo is necessary. Good for you for adapting and taking charge.
@@HamiltonHomestead it sure has been interesting. I would never have thought I could go without soap, how would I get clean? Would my hair squeak again? Lol So this has definitely been a win for me. You tempted to give it a try? Xx love Trace 🥰
Ryan would freak out if I shaved my head. I often tease him, saying I'm going to do it. I cut my own hair, there's no way I'm spending $60.00 or more for a haircut. I always had bangs but recently got frustrated with the lack of light to trim them, so their growing out & I just clip them back. When we were milling the wood, I put my hair in 2 ponytails and cut it to shoulder length. (It's still uneven from then, lol) My hair grows fast. I wash my hair about 4 times a month in the winter, depending on the activities we've gotten up to. Otherwise, I just use water. In the summertime I go to my swim hole and the water alone is sufficient it conditions it. ❤
@@OffgridWorld-w7f lol I hear you! Hubby did freak out. Said he did NOT want a bald wife. I told him in that case he would have to find another wife because it was not gluing back on! 🤣 He stayed 🙏🏻 Cutting one’s own hair is definitely the way to go. I too did that since my 30’s. I had curly hair so could get away with it. Not sure I would be so confident now it is straighter. I can imagine having a creek to swim in, how luscious! And now you have that bath 🙏🏻 Thanks for the nudge to film this update 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Xx love Trace
❤❤ Hello, there. I know if you have dry skin. It's not good to put a lot of soap on your skin anyway. One of the doctors told me. Just you know, only use soap where it's the most important and nowhere else and nowhere else. So I am very careful about using a lot of soap myself. I do use shampoo on my hair and that doesn't seem to bother me I shampoo it 2 or 3 times a week❤❤
@@Mrs.Peachthriftyliving Mrs Peachy Thankyou for adding your two cents worth! It means the world to me. Love the ‘’only use soap where it’s most important”. Wise advice 🥰🙏🏻 xx love Trace
