  • Everybody loves a good before and after-professional interior designers included! With that said, we’re thrilled to be sharing one of our favorite recent "Afters" with you today. Follow along as Southern Grace Interiors Owner/Lead Designer Mikaelah Seifrit shares the complete tour!
When we were first called onto the scene, this Palmetto Bluff home was worn, dark, and filled with outdated furnishings. The good news? The home had gorgeous antique heart pine flooring and some beautiful high-quality area rugs-true diamonds in the rough. The finished product feels warm, rich, elegant, and inviting. Without a doubt, this luxe rental property is sure to be a favorite of its many guests.

I’m from the Caribbean and I’ve also been to a few Sandals resorts so British Colonial design has my heart! Your space is beautiful!

It would easier to enjoy your designs if the video showed in full-screen.

Hi! Thanks for the feedback. This was our first video series, and we learned a lot by doing this! Our later videos are filmed horizontally for easier viewing. Thanks for watching! We hope you enjoyed the content!

Thanks for the feedback! This was filmed with a cell phone and was our first video attempt. We learned a lot and have filmed future videos in a different format. Thanks for viewing!

The rooms are lovely but it was quite difficult to watch you move around with the camera primarily focussed on you initially. Also, it would have been better to stand back and video the whole room without moving around so much. Your comments where very helpful and the details where lovely to see but would have been better appreciated if edited in afterwards. Seeing your hand with a limited view of, for example a quick glance of the marble backsplash or the frame on the art in the living room just made me dizzy. Such a shame the video detracted from your design.

Living room rug looks to small.

Thanks for watching! The rug is 11x15 which is very very large, and was an antique persian owned by the client, which they asked us to reuse and keep. There is no such thing as a perfect design, and our clients always have the final "say" about budget and their homes!
