Sharing my takeaway notes 📝
Leviticus 20:22-26.
You shall be holy.
* Marriage separates you both from the world.
1. God wants us to separate ourselves for Himself. V26.
- God is not looking for morally clean people, but for those who He can have relationship with.
- Exodus 19:6. God wants a treasured possession.
- Isaiah 43.1. We are God’s, by creation & by redemption.
- Psalm 119:92-94. Our relationship with God gives us confidence.
2. God wants to separate us for His blessings. V24.
- God wants to bless us, His time / His way / His place.
- Numbers 6:22-27.
3. God is separating us for His purpose. V26
- God makes us distinct from everybody else.
- God is moving us to be separate but not removing us from the world. Taking away sin from us. So we can be like Him.
