I was under the impression that electrolytics were always for DC. Does the capacitor can contain two back-to-back electrolytics internally, with diodes to protect them?

no error....electrolytic capacitor are used for short time rated conditions.....

sir u said in capacitor start motor the auxiliary winding resistance should be low but according to me auxiliary winding resistance should be high
1.resistance is in series with capacitor .
2. we want to create phase difference.Xc/r.
3.i f r Increase phase Decrease.
Mr Rawat no u r wrong ...in order to have high starting torque at starting we must have high current so resistance should be low
