- It's still a long walk from peace, regarding the battle over Kano Emirate. In another twist to the tussle, the Police have refused the request by Governor Abba Yusuf for assistance in evicting deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero from the mini palace he is staying in Nasarawa area of Kano. The State Commissioner of Police, Usaini Gumel, who gave reasons for ignoring Governor Yusuf’s directive on the eviction of the deposed Emir said, obeying the eviction order will be tantamount to jumping the gun. According to him, the same State Government that gave the order, had filed a case at the State High Court on the eviction order, which would come up on Monday, the 24th June.

Aburo Babajide well said. Please educate these guys who called themselves politicians. They are just turning Nigeria upside down.
The Lord bless you real good.
Enjoy your day.
It's not like I liked Aminu But BABA the Brocaster GOD bls u 4 speaking the TRUTH sir
Even Jide is jittery in the way he's talking, simply because he's being hypocritical
Why don’t you open your station and go and be a journalist. Ok. Keyboard warrior
Ladies and Gentlemen, do we need state police with the behaviour of Nigerian politicians?
Not politicians but the monsters called GOVERNORS in Nigeria, the law that created these monsters should be modified.
What is the difference, one man is abusing that now. Why can't police be independent of all politicians
No we don't. It's too dangerous to even contemplate same.
Why are you opposed to a private army funded and controlled by governors? What else do you want? Imagine a governor pays your salary, provides equipment, accommodation, healthcare and even free food and you don't need anyone to show which side the bread is buttered.
If this man were to be on the other side he wouldn't be talking like this.....he would have also given a supporting opinion of his supposed side. Hypocrisy.
True Explanation
BKO is qualified for a honorary SAN he is just too much.
Abi oo
I'm now having another opinion on this state police issue believe me
We do not need state police
we do.
@@fatimaAbkr22 Kindly explain yourself.
Where we 're going on where now
Nice one the police
This Jide is so proud and talked foolishly. Why are you talking down Baba Falana. If you are that sound you should have read the law. Don't come here to discredit Baba Falana. Just talk without insulting him.
The Court order shouldn't have been a restraining order, should have sought reversal of the enacted Law. The order came after the enactment was signed into Law. A restraining Court order should be served before the enactments were signed into Law, otherwise what was the order restraining? Legally, a Court order can not reverse a Law that was signed into existence. That has to be a serious judgement that would have to prove that the State House of Assembly lacks the power to enact that law or the governor lack the power to sign and accend to the Law by giving it life through signing. Unfortunately they have such powers. Infact, the Kano state house of assembly can decide to disban the practice of Emirate altogether and cancel all Emirates and once the governor has signed it has become law and the Emirate would be no more. It is strictly a state local affair.
You're absolutely correct and should have been on that panel to educate Jide. Jurisdiction is paramount. Also, I agree with you that the law had taken effect prior to the hurriedly procured ruling from the "judge"... We need to compile names of these clowns called judges along with all the judgments attributed to them, in making the case for their "Rawlings" treatment.
So many governor so many troubles
Ganduje removed sanusi u guys did not say the then gov was being misadviced. You guys re hypocrites
MR BABAJIDE NO MATTER HOW VAS YOU SEE YOURSELF AS AN HISTORIAN, YOU CANNOT BE AT VASS WITH THE LAW MORE THAN A LAWYER, TALK LESS OF A SENIOR ADVOCATE OF NIGERIA, IN THE PERSON OF FEMI FALANA. TAKE NOTE OF THAT
Peace and lovely
Jide is interpreting the Law to Oga Femi Falana😂
that bigotry fool call jide
Baba Jide SAN 😅😂
Very funny man
E tire me o. He cannot even practise Journalism correctly come dey argue matter of law with SAN.
Jide's style of journalism dey sound like gossip.
And he applied everything upside down. All the Emirs that approached FHC got judgement on their banishment, which borders on fundamental human rights, and which jurisdiction lies with the FHC or any Court for that matter. No FHC returned a dethroned Emir or dethroned an Emir. No such thing. Only peripheral issues of fundamental human rights were addressed. It lack jurisdiction under our Constitution to dethrone or return a dethroned Emir or appoint an Emir. That's strictly a State and Local Gov't matter that rests with the State High Courts in terms of jurisdiction.
Up on top
Take note Sanusi Lamido got judgement on his banishment. That's fundamental right infringement. The fact that he won doesn't mean he can return to the throne. He won on his right to freedom of movement, which Federal Court has jurisdiction over.
2nd, peruse the copy of the Court judgement. The judgement was imposing the Court order of the 23rd. Received by Head of Litigation on the 27th. The filing of the order was done by Aminu Baba Dan'agundi albeit after the abolishion of the Emirates and the appointment of Sanusi was done over with and already signed into Law. A Court order cannot take down an enacted and duly signed Law. It has to be a proper judgement.
3rd, the Judge passed judgement enforcing the court order given. Saying all activities done in negation of the Court order in relation to the appointment of Sanusi as Emir is null and void. The Court order was terribly belated. No any Emir was appointed after the Court order. Aminu Bayero badged into Kano after the Court order, raising tension, making Kano Emirate a 2 Emir throne by his action. Nobody was looking at that. He should have remained where he was until after judgement is delivered.
4th, a Federal High Court can address peripheral issues pertaining to human right abuse as it affects an appellant but cannot dethrone or crown an Emir, that's strictly state and local affair rested with the State High Court.
5th A peripheral issue in a litigation can never take the place of the main subject of litigation. FHC can give Order or judgement to stop Ejection or banishment for instance, as it borders on human rights, but it can NOT dethrone an appointed Emir or appoint an Emir. That's Chieftancy matters and it's under State and local Gov't which jurisdiction also lies with State High Courts as far as Nigerian Constitution is concerned.
All the cases you sighted, about Sanusi approaching a FHC were to do with his banishment which trampled on his freedom of movement rights.
Thank you.
But here there is no insubordination by the Emir. If Sunusi hasn't been going about disrespecting the then governor in public gathering he would still have been Emir
One love one heart
With the kind of this people that can never speak the truth! Nigeria can not move forward. Why did the federal high court delivered different judgement from states high court? That's reminds me how supreme court justices Musa retired exposed the criminality, illegality and corruption in judiciary. The truth of the matter, 1999 constitution is the problem of Nigeria!
BKO you are wrong. Chieftaincy tittle is not a right but a privilege.
In what country sir?
All right now
How did you know what fubara did in rivers state.
Don't worry my brother everything we be fine
Falana was sentimental, just because he like sanusi
Falana have always been like that, he likes to portrait himself as the face of law even when he is on the wrong path. He is a controversial lawyer who always tries to talk as the face of the even when he is not right. Bulshit him, he is not better than many lawyers in Nigeria.
So restraining order can be served on social media?
The police are compromising.
Wich yeye staus quo are you referring to?
So where we are now where we go uh i tell me anything prefer daybreak
In this case, there should be an
Election between Amir Sanusi and Amir Bayero in Kano state.
Hence the Kano Amirate has turned to politics.
Mentality of each regions towards Nigeria institution is differs there fore.let us go thanks.
In nasarawa state of Kano? 🤔
Why do some people foam at the coners of their mouth when they're talking?
Bad habit...
It's nasarawa LG not state😊
Nigerian Justice is now all about " Maintain statusco. That way everything is now jagajaga
Mr Sunusi, the great capitalist, has scattered the House of Bayero. 😅
That's why state police is a necessity .

Jide has nothing upstair. His analysis is rubbish
Some cabals want to destroy kano . Not all about Sanusi or
Is The Comissioner above The Governor. Tinubu will finishh Nigeria. The Governor is The highest i A State .The Order came after Sansi Lamido had been reinstrated .Pls which Court and Judiciary that Put Tinubu on Nigerians. No one will obey any order
The se Court that dis obeyed the Nigerian Constitution of 25 % win in Abuja for Any President to be installed
This Court that swore Tinubu in yes Any Politician is allowed to change tbe Constigution or Law .Tinubu did and went away .There is no fairness in this Government .When Obi Approsched the Court these Stupid Compromised
Judges were abusin him. openly
You are absolutely right on one thing, the order came after SLS was re-appointed as Emir. Infact the case was filed after the bulletin was released by the Gov't House that Sanusi has been reappointment Emir of Kano. I don't know about the other things you said please.
You are still in pain from defeat. Why bring the presidents name into this matter.
The Nigeria Police belongs to Tinubu.😁😂.
