  • Join us on the first full day of our holiday where we catch the train from near our friend's house to Philadelphia for the day. We find a Starbucks to buy a Been There Series mug to add to our collection, before getting a Big Red Bus tour ticket whereby we then see a load of the city on the tour.
On the tour we got off at the "Rocky" steps and did our best running up them in flip flops!! We then got back on the bus for the rest of a brilliant tour, before heading for lunch for a Beef Brisket sandwich from Dinic's at Reading Market Terminal - delicious!! We then had a booking for a tour of Independence Hall (where they did quite a lot of "Brit Bashing!" before we finally visited the Liberty Bell.
In the evening we had dinner at the local Raising Cains before we then went to watch our friend's son play football (soccer) at a local school field, followed by awesome ice cream at Sundaes. A brilliant day.

We Americans accept your apology. LOL. Glad to see you experiencing America away from the parks, and liking it. The culture is different in the various parts of the country, as well as within a state.
