Violence simply based on weird differences and ideas of God or Colour or race is a thing of Middle Eastern and Western people.

christianity overtook Eurppe like every other religion ... by force-- we Europeans were pagans
before christianity and we had different indo-germanic religions, like slavic celtic germanic roman and greek religions (all pretty same... like in all indo-germanic religions... you have a male fatherfigure like zeus wotan etc. .. a motherlike goddess.. and their kids and some smaller gods) .... but konstantin the late roman emporer has choosen christianity cause his opponents believed in the old gods ... he won the battle against his oppontents and all of us had to convert (it was not only peaceful...in alexandria ..which was a roman-greek city in egypt at that time ...many pagans were massacred by our "peaceful" christians forefahters) ... your Lords and Kings choose your religion and it is passed in the family from the father to the son ..thats how it works generally all over the world ...thats why you believe what you believe ...there are rare examples of ppl choosing their own religion regardless of the religions of their fathers
...happens very very rare... in most cases our religions are our cultural heritages

Also paganism never existed. Word pagan means "the people". So these religions were peoples religions or tribal religions.

When they compare Hindus to Pagans just because of the common theme of Polytheism and nature worship, I can't help but laugh at their ignorance. European Paganism is totally different from Hinduism. They used to sacrifice not just animals but also Humans.Their rituals included blood while we consider blood as impure. Hindus wouldn't have touched them with a 10 ft pole. It was totally "Rakshas" like polytheism. Hence they were all called as Mlecchas.
Tbh, Pagan Europe would be scarier than Christian Europe. Modern Christianity may have actually stopped all scary rituals. But Europeans burned witches due to their paranoia and committed unthinkable crimes during medieval era.
Abrahamic religions comes with Paranoia. Britishers came up with the Sati concept to distract the world from their witch hunts. Even though we can prove that forced Sati was a lie.
They made disparaging documentaries on Hindus. Made us look like some stone age pagans, urging missionaries to convert India.
We need to organize Hinduism like they did in Bali. Only then we can stop the missionaries.

    • @chinmayjoshi3592
      @chinmayjoshi3592 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Well this is not a new theme. The Germans even culturally appropriated Indian scriptures for the new wave of the Nordic race BS. The English used Indian traditional knowledge and resources to further their bland nation's prosperity while condescending upon Indians, even trying to assimilate us into second grade Englishmen.
The dutch renaissance happened single handedly because the dutch east India company was able to do business with India. But once they had gripped our earth, they too went back to the European urge for conversion.
I would not even want to start with the Portuguese and Spanish.
They try to derive identity from better civilisations eversowhile demeaning the originals.

The European polytheism and sanatan dharma are very closely connected as the former is product of latter. And ye mleccha was used to describe muslims . Europeans were termed yavan. From a careful listening to the debate, it appears to me that Andino is trying hard to remove the harshness of the Christian assimilation of various cultures around the world. He is saying this must be seen in the context of people coming together for a 'positive project.' Positive for whom? And positive for what? Creating more and more powerful Christian church as a replacement for all the world's regional thinking? This is not only terrible, but to be avoided to keep the world's multiculturalism alive. Andino somehow wants to try to keep the point that Christianity has taken over things after they were dead (in the context of frescos in early christian graves). This is obviously not true. They kill the entire indigenous thought process by eating away at it from all sides, declare it dead and eat it up (a.k.a - Sanskrit is a dead language). It is these kind of apologists of Christian faith that Esther Dhanraj is warning us against. Watch out for such people.

25:25 I think this sums up Eduardo's position - Multi-culturalism in the West is great, so long as they all embrace Christianity (preferably Catholicism). These newly "assimilated" people could then also be instrumental in spreading the 'Good News' (as they often call it) back into their native countries (he didn't make this statement directly, but it's obvious from his allusion to native cultures embracing Catholicism, as a positive change in them).
Rajiv on the other hand, is more of a nativist. He would like the native cultures of the world to have their own cultural (including religious) sovereignty.
I find their conflict of interest near-irreconcilable. The discussion was good, but their long-term goals aren't in alignment.
Which yet again proves what I've been saying - Western conservatism (which is inherently expansionist - after all, conservatism is about preserving one's societal values, & expansionism is a core Western value) cannot align with Hindutva (which is inherently nativist).
Hindus are in the same basket as the Greeks, Chinese, Egyptians, etc... not the Northern European West.

In a debate we may or may not agree with another and each side of course thinks that they are right but at least there can still be some common ground where both parties can agree upon.

Only thing I can make here is that the way Christianity was framed you look at the structure, Mega churches and all stuff its a way lot more clear that they are not planning a spiritual world there, On the eastern dharmic religion you will never find a pope or mega temples, big conversion plans, holy orders, and all such stuff. In Europe look at the northern crusades its a well documented case for church attack on pagans.. Maybe religion started with good thoughts (Not spiritual) but for sure it lead to much bloodshed comparing the population size at that time of east (we always ranked first) and west. In addition to that the war ethics of India and west can also show many moral differences (all well documented)

Rajiv Malhotra should have mentioned how Denmark became Christian. The King of Denmark became Christian but the priests would not follow him and the king invited all the priests for a conference and put them inside a building and while the discussion was going on he left and burnt all the local religious heads alive. He then forced the public to follow Christianity. This is what the Danish people told me when I was living in Denmark. Christianity was brutal across the world and destroyed all religions by force without even understanding their cultures. What they did in America is unpardonable where all the native Indian religions were destroyed. What Vasco da Gama did in India is also a case in point.

RM @1:51 “…Constantine, consolidated it into the New Testament…”
Andino: @1:52: “I would contest that.”
Me: What RM should have said is that Constantine consolidated the exclusivity of Christ and made it into law by threatening to persecute anyone who didn’t accept it. There were many Gospels of Christ, but Irenius, a French Christian between 178-200 AD “consolidated” them into the NT by rejecting all the extant gospels except the (current) four, speciously arguing that since there were four quarters of the Earth, four seasons, four winds etc., there can only be four gospels.” [One wonders: were there no intellectuals to argue with other counter-examples against such idiotic logic?]
@4:12: RM: Digestion means you go in and bring in what you need.
Response of Andino (@4:15): But you haven’t eaten something because it’s still alive.
Me: Well, obviously! You can’t eat an elephant in one sitting! It took centuries for the Romans to digest Greece (RM should have countered this!)
    @6:05~6:21
RM: Digestion is...I don’t like the pagan in you, I’ll take this and reject that…
Andino: I would say…we accept those truths which are true…and reject those that are not…
Me: Truth according to who? (RM should have posed this question!) Because this is the core of digestion for the digester. For the digested being, everything about itself is truth! But the digester only takes what he wants and later calls it his own, which is why Andino is defending the digester who selectively chooses what’s true in the first place!
@6:23 Andino: The approach of Christian theology is that philosophy is truth just as mathematical fact is is truth.
Me: That’s as blatant a lie as there can be. Sanatana Dharma’s philosophy is not accepted as truth. What he means is that what the church accepts as philosophical truth is TRUTH. It is for this reason that it wants to impose its own version of truth on other religions and on people who have other faiths than Christianity. I’m surprised RM didn’t catch that and pin Andino back on this.
My above point is corroborated at two places later:
Exhibit 1: @13:34 Andino: "...And countless people embraced Catholicism."
Me: No one embraced catholicism by choice, rather by digestion, or coercion, or both!
Exhibit 2: @17:37, Andino (speaking about Mexico): "…. it’s a brother country to the US because it’s a catholic and Christian country." (Me: so only countries that are catholic or Christian are “brother countries” of the US?)
All in all, this Andino is a WEASEL in the mold of Dinesh D’Souza. A better spoken and more polished weasel than D’Souza for sure. But a weasel nevertheless.
RM went completely off track @15:40.
    Disappointing counterpunching by RM!

It needs to be understood that all references to Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece, Western Civilization etc, are premised on a narrative that was coalesced and was promoted (often oppressively) by a political faction existing in Europe around the 16th and 17th century.
When examined carefully, and open-mindedly, the narrative of Europe viz a viz Rome and the so-called Ancient world contains too many enigmas to be accepted as is.
Additionally, the obviously high civilization described n the Sanskrit literature can not have been limited to Indi, even Greater India. It had to have spanned the globe.
It seems more plausible that the worldwide higher civ. Where Enlightened rulers were empowered by Rishis and Yoga, endured a gradual decay during which the memory was lost and separation and faction occurred.
(An interesting fact is that in one version of the SO-called Greek epic, Achilles was said to have been a eunuch for a year, establishing some direct relation to the Mahabharata)
On this subject, much benefit can be gained by a familiarity with the Scholarly work of A. Fomenko. th-cam.com/video/wppJTWluNMA/w-d-xo.html

Eduardo Andino: This message is to you directly: We, in the United States of America are NOT a Democracy. We are a Republic. Please know that our Founding Fathers rejected Democracy. I remind you of the famous line from Dr. Benjamin Franklin: " Doctor, what have you given us? " asked the woman as he came out of the convention. " A Republic, if you can keep it." then he goes on to say" For if you don't, you will have a Democracy, which is mob rule. At that time you will have to rebuild your Republic."
Please be CERTAIN you are not publicizing a non-Truth which is disinformation or misinformation, not necessarily a lie. We are a Republic. We are defined as a Constitutional Republic. This system of governance does included an Electoral College. Democratic components are included in this Electoral College. We do not use the term called the Popular Vote simply because we are a Republic with the Rule of Law enforced by the 3 branches of government.

To Rajiv Malhotra: The role of Missionary schools in the spread of Christianity as a means for Imperialism cannot be overlooked. Your concentration is on the hard diplomacy or war/aggression, if you will. Soft diplomacy or the cultural invasion through the use of words, education system infiltration, theatre, media, art are important for they are structured and planned as part of war strategy.

Before all these religions, there was only an " Ancient way of life" through out the world which had great and correct ideas and at the same time had provisions for the climatic and other conditions of wherever people lived. Also the highest truths were not made available unless one is properly mature enough to receive such teachings. All others were given the most suitable practices and methods that would suit individual and social needs. The way of life itself would assure people to progress towards truth. The social aspects of life, safety of animals and trees, environment, sustaining the culture, minimum use of earthly resources were all built in to the culture. There efforts of the rulers to institutionalise religion and decimate whatever differed their perceptions (which were only partial) lead to great destruction and violence.
