Hi everyone, Paul here (director). Just wanted to say a big thank you for watching and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks!
This was a beautiful documentary. I'm glad the algorithm sent it my way. I'm a lifelong hoops fan, but Fingleton's story was somehow unknown to me. May his memory be a blessing.
Just watched this documentary, i gotta say it was wonderfully made. Lovely story about a lovely gentle giant. I live near Durham and met Neill in 2016 when i was working as a car salesman. He came in to buy a car for his girlfriend. He was a great lad and really enjoyed chatting with him. In the dealership there was a switch on the back wall near the roof, id say a good 4 metres high. He never bought a car but as he was leaving i shouted Neil and pointed to the switch…..do me a favour mate, turn that light off for me!!! Sad loss and if you dont cry at this then your tougher than me!!!
Nice job. He made a big impact. I’m from providence and remember seeing him at the end of the bench holy cross came to play brown I believe he couldn’t play because he had transferred. Thanks for sharing that was excellent
I actually saw the fight lol, kid was giving him a hard time and he just reached out and pushed him back with one hand while the shortest and oldest teacher in the school tried to get between them. 😂 He definitely didn’t deserve that.
Lovely guy, I worked with his dad Mickey 42:20 for years, he was a smashing fella too, proper nice guy. I modified a few of Neil's cars over the years, he pulled up in VW golf i think one day, I had to remove the rear seats and modify the drivers seat rails then fit the front seat in the back so he could fit in it properly 😂. Really well made documentary, nicely done.

I was a year ahead of Neil and didn’t necessarily know him well but he sat in front of me in study hall my senior year and he was always a nice guy.
