❤ from india! I cant understand shit but i still love eluviete! Love the way they've amalgamated folk instruments with metal.. Who else is listening to this in quarantine?
In this performance they sound as though they aren't correctly tuned with each other. Or perhaps Anna had some kind of vocal problem there. But they usually sound really good in the rest of the live videos.
i have seen these guys 7 times so far i even went to 70000 tons of metal this year just to see these guys. They by far were one of the best shows. I hope to go to a festival in the next 2 years to see them play at a large show.
this is a song that i can't understand not even a single word!Though i think it's one of the best songs i've ever heard,if not the best!!!ELUVEITIE i love you!!!!
@Kuifstaartje me too! Eluveitie is amazingly unique. They keep a thousands-year old tradition alive with great music. One of the best, if not the best, in folk metal.
It is of course that Anna's voice wouldn't be able to reach high tones: just look at the height where the microphone is! It is a big problem not to be able to move the head up and down when we are singing songs that there is need to do high and low tones. However, the band is still great.
i have never been to an Eluveitie show where they weren't giving their all in a performance no matter if it was the start of a tour or if the show i was at was near the end of one. Can't wait till they come through with Varg and Wintersun this year hope Varg does the song that anna played on !
@SkelanimalKitteh he taught the audience a celtic sentence that consists of the three words he teaches the audience and it means"fine lady bring me a beer" ^^
Could someone tell me what kind of metal is this? I'm not used to this kind of music and when i discovered this band i can't stop listening to them!! Also it would be very usefull if someone tell me if there are any other bands like eluveitie.. Sorry for my english.
You got no clue. In America, we love Metal, Musicians, and all of us are from somewhere else. Me, Scotland, England, Wales. I guess you could call me a Celtic-American!! We in America are what catapulted The rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, and other bands to mega-greatness, and both those bands used mandolins as well as sitars, and other "folk" instruments. 1960's thru today, America loves the traditional as well as the new.
Anna's voice IMPROVED, you mean. A voz da Anna MELHOROU, você quer dizer. Eu tb já vi ao vivo e ela é incrível. só não sei como você viu em 2014 se nesse ano eles não vieram ao Brasil. Só se você viu fora.
@salsaestonia Yup. The artists themselves many times wear earplugs, if they know what's good for them. Especially those with loud amps just for sake of it.
@LenweSaralonde Seriously though, they must be a hard band to sound engineer for. So many different instruments, both acoustic and electric, conventionally tuned and naturally tuned. It must be pretty crazy.
@SkelanimalKitteh I think its in Gaullish, I wouldnt worry about not knowing it, barely anbody does. The bloke at the start speaks GErman, which is pretty much the same as Englissh to my ears.
@SkelanimalKitteh English translation: Grim battles Against countless foes Have steeled you From the shores of the Rhine To the top of the Alps, Your fair meadows, Your rank heathlands The choirs of bards Sing the glory Of the undying names Of fallen heroes, That gave their lives, Their blood For the freedom of their fatherland. @SkelanimalKitteh I can speak a little bit of german, but can understand it better then speaking it myself. i'm dutch, and german is quite similar to dutch. he's asking them if they want to learn some Gaulish. he's learning them three words: "nata wipie curmida" ( or howerver you spell it), witch means: "beautiful woman bring me a beer!"
I get the first guys confusion though, because they are speaking German at first, which is also a main language in Switzerland, but thanks for pointing it out though
@ewenica The first time he was probably moving the upper hand, and the second time you mention he is in fact moving his fingers. Check again and look closely.
@lsurocks1000 yea exactly. i used too attend concerts and show without em and now i have a constant beep in my ears. very annoying but u get used to at after a while. now i'm putting earplugs in too.
@SkelanimalKitteh Oh dulcet blossom of the living world! Oh my fatherland, oh my Helvetia! Your woman and maids Noble and fair, Your highest men To this bravesong They join in The sword in my hand

Love the way they've amalgamated folk instruments with metal..
Who else is listening to this in quarantine?
Glad to see a fellow Indian who listens to eluveitie!
@@orenji9510 any other recommendations that i'm yet to explore?
@@The369niraj I don't have much experience with metal but do check out Uttara Kuru's music
A totally different genre but I really love them
The astounding Anna Murphy..love Eluveite forever...miss all these members who left the band
Jaja they tought go alone, they love i'm memories jaja
3.40 Dude cracks me up every time! He's just 'no way this is happening at a metal festival, no way!'
I know right! its sooo funny
I look for him every time.. 😂
The Violinist is so CUTE
Meri Tadic has always been my favorite
Meri is a super talented violinist. Nicole is also one of the greatest violinist. And a very beautiful woman.
always loved hearing Meri and Anna sing
Lo mejor de lo mejor en Folk Metal desde hace un tiempo :)
It's weird seeing that all the members in this video except Chrigel are not in the band anymore. :/
The guitarist Kay Brem is in the band also with Chrigel. And 7 other members are new.
he plays bass
What, Kay STILL is in the band.
Can i ask why that 7 go out?
if you can rock with a mandolin, then you are freaking awesome.
Anna and Meri singing :3 so cute
Damn I miss them being in the band
3:43 That guy is just priceless xD
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
"Nope nope this is not what I came for, how am I supposed to mosh pit in this"
In this performance they sound as though they aren't correctly tuned with each other. Or perhaps Anna had some kind of vocal problem there. But they usually sound really good in the rest of the live videos.
I got to admit one of the reasons I am starting to think about transferring over seas is the music festivals.
Anna Murphy has said that Canada is her favourite country to tour in, and she said that we have the best crowds
im from america and hung out with this band after their show. one of the most metal shows ive seen
Such a powerful, melodic and beautiful music in one song! Great work, sure.
Celtic metal from Switzerland, this is HELVETIAN branch of it. Celtic pride and power!
I'm from New York and I've been listening to Eluveitie longer than most of Europe...
Yess right! you are one of the people who know what is the best way. One of the people who know how to enjoy the best.

это одна из идеальных песен что я слышал за всю свою жизнь.
Those that can, play metal. Those that can't... sing everything else. Long live the metal.
meri's smile is awesome
i have seen these guys 7 times so far i even went to 70000 tons of metal this year just to see these guys. They by far were one of the best shows. I hope to go to a festival in the next 2 years to see them play at a large show.

This eluveitie was beast!!!
Eluveitie in Swiss/Swiss Germanic: "Elu-vey-tie"
Eluveitie in Australian/UK English: "'Loovity"
It is of course that Anna's voice wouldn't be able to reach high tones: just look at the height where the microphone is! It is a big problem not to be able to move the head up and down when we are singing songs that there is need to do high and low tones.
However, the band is still great.
i'm tattooing the whole eluveitie discography in my brain
In America, I LOVE Folk Metal, I LOVE Eluveitie, and LOVE their mandolin and hurdy gurdy!
I'll see them in one week. Can't wait!
I miss Meri and her LONG hair u_u
Are you kidding? The mandolins, bagpipes, and flutes were what got hooked on Eluveitie.
das ist wunderbar!!!
They're coming over here in December, and I can't WAIT to prove you wrong!

I loved it then with Simeon meri and all

Awesome swiss Music!
amazing
It is played live. Patrick Kistler or Sevan Kirder plays flute here. I can't see which one of them, as he's headbanging :P
How did Anna Murphy's voice change so much? I have just seen Eluveitie's live for this song in 2014 and she sounds so different LOL
+João Diego I agree. Saw Eluveitie in Zlín this year and her voice is now much... stronger?
+João Diego well, she was 19 at the time of this concert, now she is 26 so...
Anna's voice IMPROVED, you mean. A voz da Anna MELHOROU, você quer dizer. Eu tb já vi ao vivo e ela é incrível. só não sei como você viu em 2014 se nesse ano eles não vieram ao Brasil. Só se você viu fora.
one of them lived near by me I saw him almost every day..
very good sensational 🤘🎸
I wear pro - earplugs for my rehearsal / live / concert, and I agree, the song quality is much better with it :]
Muito show :) sem contar ki ela é muito linda!
шикарно
it is because of the youtube converter, if you go to a concert it sounds better
@salsaestonia Yup. The artists themselves many times wear earplugs, if they know what's good for them. Especially those with loud amps just for sake of it.
Perfect.
very good song
Epic band I saw them once :)
I love you Anna Murphy
@LenweSaralonde Seriously though, they must be a hard band to sound engineer for. So many different instruments, both acoustic and electric, conventionally tuned and naturally tuned. It must be pretty crazy.
First comment in english, woo! Thanks for the upload! Awesome video.
@SkelanimalKitteh I think its in Gaullish, I wouldnt worry about not knowing it, barely anbody does. The bloke at the start speaks GErman, which is pretty much the same as Englissh to my ears.
I love them too. I actually seen them live, bought cds and met them. So my argument remains valid. lol

@SkelanimalKitteh I can speak a little bit of german, but can understand it better then speaking it myself. i'm dutch, and german is quite similar to dutch.
he's asking them if they want to learn some Gaulish. he's learning them three words:
"nata wipie curmida" ( or howerver you spell it), witch means: "beautiful woman bring me a beer!"
have fun! :)
I wish that I could learn german someday, I love that lenguage!
I get the first guys confusion though, because they are speaking German at first, which is also a main language in Switzerland, but thanks for pointing it out though
@TheCasualMadness yeah, the three words, which he told the crowd to say, means "bring me a beer"^^
Holy shit... first second I looked at the thumbnail of this video i thought it's Dave Grohl
→ 04'30'' LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
When you realized that Floki play on Eluveitie.
@ewenica The first time he was probably moving the upper hand, and the second time you mention he is in fact moving his fingers. Check again and look closely.

This band is from Switzerland
No, just because some Americans are idiots, does not mean the rest of us are. I love folk metal and everything to do with it, and I'm American.
