Hi love, I used my sweethearts texture iron however we no longer sell them. I know Hot tools did one similar.
Sometimes I use just at the root for volume and sometimes I use all the way through to create thicker braids. 💕

My almost 5 year old son said, "mommy can you click the thumbs up?" Lol someone has a crush.
How stable are pancaked braids? I mean pulling outer strands of a braid loop will also pull the inner strands of the neighboring loops and so on. I tried this and my hair practically unraveled before I pancaked half of my hair. I don't like this pancaked trick though. Too messy for my liking.
