Ahmed Shah is a leader, mentor, and an advocate of arts and culture. His efforts to reshape, promote, and preserve Pakistan's cultural heritage have been instrumental. In recognition of his services, he has been awarded the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (HI) and the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (SI) by the President of Pakistan. He has also served as a minister in the caretaker government twice. Currently, he is the President of the Arts Council of Karachi. Under his leadership, the Arts Council of Karachi has become a strong platform for artists, writers, and performers.
