go to Harbor Freight and get a cheep planer, plane a little off each side, sanding will take a long time.

They make styrofoam thingies that you put against the ceiling to let the roof get some air and ventilation and to prevent condensation. They are not expensive but you may net be ready to do that at this time but I would do that before I installed my permanent ceiling boards.
Save yourself a lot of trouble . Put the already sanded boards with the flat smooth side showing.

You need some Gorilla tape for the air hose.
When I went to sleep the tv was off, when I woke up the t v was off... Figure that one out.

My son’s best friend lost his eye to the back push of air from a nail gun. To watch you guys using all this equipment without safety glasses or masks on drives me insane. I know you know better but it’s like you’re both saying meh. Laura says safety first then there’s no safety :(

Dont sand them at all .
Put them up and wash them with Murphy's Oil Soap and water to get them clean.
Then rub them down with Murphy's Oil Soap to soak in the wood they will be beautiful.
Lol . I did the exact same thing with a nail gun through all four fingers
