I am a Japanese person who posted the deck introduced in the video. Thank you for introducing the post. I was able to run up to Mythic with the Urabrask deck.
I watched the Bob Ross Campfire episode after this (Season 10 episode 3). It's a bit poetic that you mention it in this video because the topic of talent in painting comes up. He says "Talent is nothing more than a pursued interest". He painted the man in that painting, but he was saying bushes and trees were where his heart was 🥹 also sidenote, I love your glasses
There's UR version of this that's an absolute monster as well, runs Eluge, Ral and otters in addition to the core of this deck for ridiculous compounding cost reductions. It completely stomped my mono white control, I had no idea what I was facing. The Season of the Bold is insane once it pops off, they just machine gun you down the next turn.
I want to have a working deck like this, but yeah... lots of enchantment removal makes it harder to do. Love the outro actually, cuz get more of your thoughts on the deck, possible changes, it'd be super cool to have some quick sideboard thoughts on decks. I love playing your builds and love the couple Patreon sideboard guides you have posted.
I love this deck for being one of the few to just do what it does. I have been playing MTG on and off since Ravnica came out, and Red has always gotten these burn and instant/sorcery support cards, but they almost never work in a good constructed decks. You'll end up with a coll creature or enchantment that adds or doubles damage, but it ends up way worse than piling on the burn and some decent haste creatures in the 5+ turns it takes to cast anything. Even in limited, you need to get lucky enough to open the rare(s) and enough burn for them to matter over basically any 5+ mana body. We've seen lists like this before, but it's usually with Red as burn, and another color or two actually creating the benefits of casting the burn. This has been a mono-red staple in the design for a long time, but not something that sees any play in a serious deck. So for that, I like seeing it do a thing it's always tried to do.
I have always like big red as a archetype. Using burn as removal and getting strange pay off on the long game. However usually the win con is usually pretty lacking. This deck looks fun cool with soul.
Been watching for a while now but never saw the rakdos tatoo until today. I have that same tat, well only halve of it, as its a joint tatoo with my best friend, halve each. Pretty cool coincidence
If we revisit bloomburrow, I want playful shove, playful jump, playful tackle, playful push, and playful punch and playful kick and "roughhousing" to be cards in red so I can make a "not in the house kids" deck
I thought about this idea of a deck and build it in paper like 2 weeks ago its fun to be able to do 30+ dmg in a turn will look into this version to see how i would upgrade mine
I've been liking red/green agro overprotect, innkeepers talent, pick your poison, sentinel of the nameless city, heartfire hero, slickshot show off, monstrous rage, pawpatch recruit, picnic ruiner, and lighting strike
Red spellslingers going for face does speak to my soul in theory, but listening to your analysis does confirm why it's just not the best. Thanks for the content as always!
Woooow, I’ve been playing my own version of this for the last couple months (imo mine is better 😂)! Highly recommend trying Bloodfeather Phoenix and Mechanized Warfare in this type of deck.
As a lover of mono red, this makes me want to play true mono red again, because aggro is so fucking boring to both play and play against. Thanks for restoring my love for it again, ghoul! 🫶🎃
Defiler of Instinct is so good here that I started with 1 copy and now I'm at 3... Ojer is redundant, and Season', Shoves and Into the fire are worse than Forges and Defilers. Cut all of those. Also, a couple Mirrex for the Demands... or swap them for Highway Robbery, lands then to accumulate
The deck is pretty cool, but the cave lands and the red season are kinda wack to me. I ended up cutting the Playful Shoves, the Seasons and one Virtue to make room for 4x Urabrask's Forge, 2 Torch the Towers and a one of copy of Koth. Although I only play best of 1 so I'm not sure if these changes would be worth it for best of 3
when you are trying to build around an enchantment, you gotta overload on this card type, unfortunately. thats why i run my caretaker token deck with ossification and others. And I smile whenever they waste their enchantment removal to destroy these. in this deck talent is an easy target.
this is a great concept but just when it works i would change the ojer and demand answers and the season of the bold for a full set of playfull shove and some monastery swiftspears, would reduce the lands to 20 and keep 4 urabrask to secure the drop. also, 2 return the favor are important so we can protect urabrask once he's down
On that note you could also use Invasion of Kaldheim and Koth as an alternative for land draw and discard for artist. Feels bad cause now people will be aware haha. But all in good faith, a way more cooler mono red that can basically draw the whole deck and burn the opponent when its set up.
😎 I love when Urabrask pops off and says great work lol. I really like the outro too, hearing your analysis is great. Thanks for the shoutout!! ❤
Outros are a great addition to your videos.
And Bestie of the day is nice for YT viewers who don't catch your incredibly-interactive Twitch streams.
I will continue to do them! 😊

we LOVE bob 💜
Loving your content Ash ❤ the outro is a must in my opinion!
The glasses are so fabulous!

I've been playing artists talent in an izzet shell and the card is so much fun when it pops off
What a hell of a cool deck !
That last game against Domain god if that was in person I'd have strangled that man.
i got HUMBLED
List seems sick. I do think "Highway Robbery" is a strict upgrade to demand answers.
Sorcery vs Instant is a pretty huge downside to robbery.
less demand answers is the real upgrade
This could be interesting in Historic with the new Ashling 🤔
love the outro
thank you🫶

Deck is sweet and was really fun to watch 🔥🔥🔥 it’s always cool when new decks can pop up so late in the meta
ash actually doing the superman in this video 11/10
Such excellent content. I respect your work ethic. Great decks.

Thx for revealing my secret deck, even writing in mandarin you are not safe from the Queen 😔👌

I've been developing this deck in BO1 in boros for months now. Artist's Talent is THE GAME CHANGER to make the deck sing
Got a list to share?

This deck vs Domain really feels like atomic bomb vs coughing baby. Winning a game was def impressive.
That is some vivid imagery that you’re bringing to mind, lol 😆
I was working on a version of this for awhile. I'll give mono red a go
That last game is why we all hate domain
it was a rough one😩😩
I might have just bought that shock art. So nice :)
We need to go boros just for the lightning helix art :P

The Easel Weasel
Hi Ash, are you interested in playing Explorer one of these days?
Ash tries too hard ~~ 🤣 this is a deck full of chaotic event, just go where your hearts go.

Try Defiler of Instinct...at least 3 copies, makes the deck SO much better

Best way to upgrade it would be to get fable in there. 😜
I feel like this deck would be better in boros for helix and taii wakeen
Blitzkrieg deck, artist style
A 22-land deck with 5-drops and no ramp feels weird
Ah yeah, I see. Nice deck you have there... Such a shame it's mono-red! 🤢
Hell yeah
So what house did you join at Hogwarts Ash? 😎🤓
I played a black red discard version of this today and flew all over them with my cavern bat and innkeeper...this version looks better
this is a great concept but just when it works

that UW player threw hard.. if they just counter your last play, they win
😆
Nooooo they found my fucking deck!!! 😭 😭

u r pritty.
u r thirsty
Ouf, cringe
Random one but if you’re a fan of Friday the 13th - The “Never Hike Alone” trilogy is free on the TH-cam and better than most of the OGs 🫡
