SeIFu I am a "great fan" of sword usage, before knowing your channel I practiced the use of stronghold and swords for a long time, with you videos I discovered new techniques and also, when I get a little tired of using swords, your videos always bring encouragement and a sense of competitivity. I think It's super good that you upload videos of sword usage specially in Grand Master nightfalls, specially because of the lack of knowledge people has towards the those type of weapons. When ever I use my sword build in GMs people kick me out of the squad or they start bringing a lot of negativity towards that idea (like if they knew anything about real sword usage). Thanks to you I can prove those idiots that sword usage does require skills; such as perfect timing, knowledge about the enemy, strategy and technique in order for things to go well, one miss calculation "will" (not may, it will) cause the guardian loosing Its life. Using swords gives a very high risk of death, while on the other side it gives a great source of DPS.
I love selfus build he turned me into a titan main from a warlock a few seasons back and i went through the same crap. I usta post the lfgs since i was afraid id get kicked and people would leave alot if i ever slipped up slightly. Even meta builds have the players go down every once in awhile so it felt bad having to go to orbit and restart my lfg post. I have a clan sherpa who is amazing very patient with new players helped me fall in love with raiding and i would help him carry guys through vault or master grasp. After a lil i convinced him to join me on a master grasp attempt and i showed him how tanky i could be. This was at the time when passive gaurd was a thing and protective light was busted so i litterally could not die in master dungeons. He understood how great the build worked and now whenever we do deep stone crypt he jokingly tells me guess what man you get to slay out with lament that build is cracked. Finding a group that vibes with your fun stategies is what every player should have. Im kinda a warlock main at heart still mostly a sunbracer main and even before solar 3.0 my clan literally always worked with me to make these things great. On master raids when carrying people i would help him out and hed ask me to put on lunas and switch to well since i mained top tree dawn even through boss dmg. I told him youll have to pry my sunbracers off my dead body but i will switch to well. I discovered a whole new playstyle having unlimited healing nades me an him would try to outheal eachother him using starfire while i rocked sunbracers.
Felt the part about idiots kicking you out because all they know is the meta lol. I've been kicked from master nfs when I join because I'm 20 levels under; when I can, and have in past seasons, repeatedly solo farmed master nfs while being underleveld and using off-meta loadouts

The most impressive parts of his survivability with Stronghold is his perfect parry of most of the boss slams, and his arc blasts. Those are most certainly deaths, if he mistimed the shielding of those attacks. So, its cool that he is siphoning health off the Lightblade's deadly attacks.

@@SmolShippie Pretty good if you fully commit to the mod by using multiple copies with Elemental Timed Dilation, otherwise it's hard to take advantage of. The damage resist could often be inactive when you wanted it to.

Below is how you can notice other people's builds so if a dim link or video is not available, you reverse engineer for yourself in the future. CWLx4 means Supercharged mod Keened Edge means Lucent Blade mod Purple Screen effect + Resist w/o crystals means Protective Light mod The only way to CWL in Stasis is Elemental Shards + Elemental Wells He spawns a Glacial harvest lance, and has to use Tectonic Harvest for crystals. These are his aspects. He gains resists near crystals, so Whisper of Chains. He gains health/overshields when collecting crystals so Whisper of Rime. The crystals track to him so Whisper of Conduction. He gains Improved Ability Regeneration on Crystal shatter so Whisper of Shards. Those 2 aspects provide for 5 fragment slots, so the last one is a passive effect that is hard to see. Hope this helps.
@@JackieBoy777 Unless you have a special need for a Void Blinding GL, I would say the Empty Vessel you have is enough. I chose Truth Teller because it's the only Energy GL I have that has all of 3 perks.
@@selFu there is one thing that pissed me off a lot and It's the exoticsword from duality, based on the stats I expected that sword to have better ressistance than Crown Splitter, but it does not, I think It's the sword with less damege ressistance of all swords.
It makes me sad seeing so many titans sleeping on the best Damage sword in the game. Crownsplitter is a weapon I am really sad that doesnt get the love it deserves.
I'm glad there are other stronghold and sword users. I'm too lazy to unlock all the fragments and shit for stasis so I just go with bubble. I love taking it into crucible. So much fun hahaha.

10% is better than nothing. I don't feel like other mods do much for survivability, but feel free to use whatever you'd like.

have you tried any builds using bequest? it's the deepstone crypt sword, super high impact without the ammo drawback of crownsplitter

Crown Splitter has higher damage resistance than Lament. Stronghold provides more resist.

Perfect Guard from Stronghold. Stronghold heals you when you guard an attack with a sword right after the guarding animation.
