I painted this bike at Amen choppers in Tennessee!! Vetty cool ride!!
Dont forget to give billy lane credit for this whole hubless gig, he started it.
Over a decade old and I still never get tired of seeing this bike. You can call it what ya want or hate on it BUT this bike makes ya turn and look !! Long live the Hubless Monster !
This was a fun build. One of the last bikes I worked on. Very technical. Great job, Mike!
I don't care what anybody else says...this bike is awesome. An engineering masterpiece!
Is there a video anywhere of it doing anything but going straight down the road? I'd love to see it going around a corner and then the guys trying to pick it up afterwards.
it's nice to see a well engineered project
I've seen plenty of pictures it's nice to finally see this bike on the road. Looks nice although the rider didn't look like he was all that comfortable to me...
I get how this thing works and it never accured to me before. This is fricking awesome!
as many bikes you see on TH-cam, hundreds if not thousands and ALL kinds of concept bikes & Mods to make anyone drool...
There's a few I like but THIS,... this is hands down my Favorite chopper on the WEB nevermind THIS site. you wouldn't wanna loan me this for an afternoon would ya ?
imagine cruisin' South Beach on this ... (Miami) for those who don't know.
Thats so awesome, I love how low it its!
that is some realy awesome stuff! good job man!
oh la la what a wesome !!! vrey great chopper !!!
Nice, a place to put your shopping bags.
Now that is one kick-ass bike.
this nicely contrasts spinners HAHA , truly sick design
Some excellent engineering in there, great job
o men!! właśnie taki chcialem kiedys zrobic! ale nie przypuszczalem ze to az tak zaje*** wyglad!!
gratulacje twórcy!!!
Thats the coolest bike I have ever seen 10/10
That's nice! I love it
That's probably the coolest thing I've ever seen in my entire life.
And i've seen a lot of things. :)
these hubless wheels and other distinctive custom made frames that i've seen over the years would make choppers are cool to ride now aday :)
This Bike is amazing.. i saw it on display in Little Rock, it is even better in person!
amazing great work guys
Fantastic!!
cool design. I once thought of such a hubless bike too !
I've seen the bike in person. The tires are mounted on a bearing system that goes around the rim, which is attached to the motorcycle on the right frame. The front wheel is mounted on a bearing system that goes around the whole rim, which is mounted on the fork of the front bars.
There is no belt driving the rear wheel, instead there is a smaller drive wheel that is between the rear tire and the frame of the motorcycle. It is pressed onto the rear wheel to spin it. Notice the grooved rear tire
That front wheel set up allows you tp dramatically increase the rake without causing the steering problems of having too much trail. I'm not a big fan of over customized choppers, but this technology is very cool.
the wheels are just huge ballbarings with tires on them! and there is another hidden wheel that pushes the rear wheel , the hidden wheel is the one the motor drives! and it looks AWESOME! :)
Looks comfy!
BILLY LANE!!! he is the mastermind behind this concept. Was the first bike builder to put out a hubless motorcycle.
That is Awesome!!!
fantastic!!! rimless chopper ftw!!!!
This is one sick ride. I want one- with a radial engine on it!!
Very nice design.
that is pretty damn cool!
looks ace
Powered by hamsters
That is pretty cool
looks nice
sick as hell
i am glad to see some ride time on something like that..most of these concept bikes dont get 100 miles on them..
WOOOW! Nice!!!
Spectacular...
Give me a break..I mean REALLY!!!! The bike is really solid and just sweeter than anything to look at . It's beautiful. That it actually rolls on down the road is just super cool looking. Don't rank on the thing, just enjoy it. Hey, here , tell ya what, I'LL enjoy it FOR YOU!
awesome Bike
I am not a big fan of choppers but that just looks sexy when it's on the road.
Very cool.
OH SHIT !!! Goodjob !!
wow cool bike
It's real, and if I'm not mistaken it's built by AMEN choppers in Tennessee. The wheel rides on a bearing on the right side.
Where you put the brakes
Wow, I saw more of the headlights than what the subject was. VERY artsy
Very cool
Muito show mesmo essa Motoca, ate que em fim algum consegui unir um belo desing e tecnologia em uma chopper.
Espero que não demore para chegar ao Brasil... Parabéns aos criadores
@ThrashOMatic
After the strippage, Café racers are often modified with lower handlebars, footpegs are moved backwards etc. to give them also more agility, since they were race bikes for narrow, curvy roads. Choppers in their first definition were stripped down for less weight, less effort for the engine and therefore better gas mileage, since they were more for "aggressive crusing" than racing.
that is WAY TOO COOL!!!
NICE!
That's a cool bike....
excellent
Mike Brown from Amen Motorcycles built this for Discovery Channels Biker-Build-Off. Makes me a bit homesick for Rogersville, Tn seeing this.
EPIC HECTIC
Great bike!! Who does the music???? Purely Epic
very nice
I would love to cruise down the street on this bike. People will go nuts
Nice design. The chopper mode isn't so neew , but the wheels are great.
It's real the rims ride on bearings, the outer race is part of the rim. A lot of engineering went into their design. This one is by Mike Brown of Amen Chassis Works. There is another one by Billy Lane of Choppers Inc.
turns will be made by driving around 4 blocks...very practical
that is effing amazing :D
hahahahaaha ur right! thats hilarious... like that one part where there is like a train in the background lol damn
dfonic2007, you're right. I googled Franco. I had no idea. I read an article once that talked about Billy and Amen choppers fighting over who invented the hubless. Neither of them did. It was Franco. I stand corrected.
thats insane.. I just now learned this even exist.
what a lucky guy have it!
sick man
😅
the rear hub looks fantastic but the front looks strange with that massive offset
damn sweet vid
In some parts of the USA the helmet is optional. But if i lived in the USA i would be wearing it no matter what..
f _ _ _ing awsome
It is very interesting to seem to run while the body slips.
Handy place for storing stuff. I'd put my gas tank in front and storage bag in back.
Orange County Choppers should take a lesson. I want one of these like it's nobodies business.
Ironmanxxx, Why not? Its a sharp looking design and may bring about more futuristic drive and brake technology.
yyeeaahh thats cool ..i wanna ride this monster :D
i like it, only thing i would change is to bring the handles up higher somehow, not sure its posible.. otherwise that bike is hot
Pretty sweet, but I'd like to see it do a u turn on a, let's go with a football field. Think that would be enough room?
I like it
Lol. The spikes make it so tuff. Good luck steering that shit with a tire fatter than your average Wal-Mart shopper.
AWESOME!!! DO YOU DO LAYAWAY?
THis raises SO many questions!!!
How does it drive the rear wheel?
How do the brakes work?
The back looks good (thank you, Billy Lane), but the front looks totally dorktacular.
''increible,,exellent''bella''.......
I only have one word... W O W ....
who/what is the music?? man,it ROCKS!!!
Hubless is an inaccurate description. It still has hubs and rims. Very cool though!!
THE BEST
@mysteryloser24 The chromed inner stationary "drum" that you see is attached to each side of the frame behind the shroud/guards at each side and the outer tyre with rim rotates around the inner drum on ball races driven with a friction drive directly to the tyre which is hidden between the transmission and the tyre. Harder to build than saying fake to everything you don't understand but still possible.
ha cool bike.. look stationary when its moving.
These low rider types, riding posture, is what I suppose one of two most comfortable. The other being the "Upright English Gentleman" posture.
looks pretty neat but does it have any suspension at all?
Jody Barrilleaux was the amazing artist who painted this bike. Too bad the video doesn't show the detail. It's an amazing ride to see up close mechanically as well.
