I remember even as a 3rd grader, I thought, “ Well isn’t it your job to teach it to us? You keep telling us to learn the metric system but we are a bunch of 8 year olds and you are the teacher.
I think its unfair to blame the failure of the Metric System. Well? The acceptance of the Metric System. Its not like Carter didn't try. If I remember correctly, Jimmy Carter was America's only scientist president.

Lol, about the art museum... in holland our class had to see a modern arts museum, and while we where there, I wanted to test my camera, and there was an empty spot with a small plack saying “reserved for art”. So I took a picture to test the lighting and lens and all that, and as I was zooming in on the picture I had just taken, to check the quality before I start taking pictures of the art, nodding to my self, a group of Asian people who saw that I took the picture went over and started taking pictures of the empty wall... either they thought that this was the best the museum had to offer (an actual possibility) or I just fooled a bunch of tourists into taking a picture of a wall 😂
Same thing has happened to me on more than one occasion. I do photogrammetry which means taking copious pictures of boring props. So i would be at versailles or something and instead of taking pictures of something interesting I'd be taking a bunch of different angles of one little section of crown moulding and for some reason large swaths of asians would always decide it was the most interesting thing they've ever seen. I'm like bitch you don't even know why I'm doing this

I remember the National Gallery in London and a particularly annoying frigging guard, 💩 followed me everywhere from pre- Renaissance art art through to Impressionism, he thought he was being discrete but in truth he was beginning to piss me off so I walked around a wall to the next room and waited for him to show at the other end, as i saw him i walked back and waited for him to reappear and i would nip back and forth between the rooms before he saw me. I could see his reflection in a mirror and kept ducking out of sight as he showed, watching him running backwards and forwards with increasing panic on his face. when he finally ran down the room to where i was i quickly zipped the other way into another room where i pretended to be quietly appreciating a tiny Rembrandt until i heard his panicked clip clap shoes and his sweaty assed wheezing. then i calmly strolled out of the building, I had tears running down my face as i tried to show calm but it was totally worth freaking the annoying git out for ruining my visit. 😂

I'm not gunna share all details here, but just so y'all know, he does have integrity & didn't want to ACTUALLY take the guy's $ for it, had been joking when he offered the special, winterized air for the guy's tires.... . Long story short, customer wouldn't leave until he sold him some. I just remembered, he nearly got out of it finally by pretending to find a " half a bottle in the back, on the house " but the guy still forces the $20 on him even then... .

I was at an art museum and there was a very large and I guess old ladder. It was a ladder but it was the size of a bookcase or a refrigerator. And the real devil of it was it wasn't entirely clear that it was a display. So I'm staring at this ladder not knowing what the hell it is and I just reach out and I tap it with my knuckle. Immediately a security guard's like Sir please do not touch the art displays. I say I'm sorry He says don't be sorry just don't touch the display. I felt like an idiot, it was a well-made ladder, but I don't think it needed to be in the museum. Still I shouldn't have touched it, but I wasn't entirely sure it was part of the collection, so... FYI

lol, Europe here, i have no trouble to stay home for 2 weeks, i spend 3 weeks in the alpes in September, i could use the time to upload my gopro vids and sorting my 3000 pics...lol btw, i get fully paid too, its just nice to live in a socialist country where the conseratives take care of the normal workers...!

My husband sold a guy air once - true ( and HILARIOUS ) story !! I'm not gunna share all details here, but just so y'all know, he does have integrity & didn't want to ACTUALLY take the guy's $ for it, had been joking when he offered the special, winterized air for the guy's tires.... . Long story short, customer wouldn't leave until he sold him some. I just remembered, he nearly got out of it finally by pretending to find a " half a bottle in the back, on the house " but the guy still forces the $20 on him even then... .
I found a deal on Amazon for three cans of air for $10. That's not bad for retail. It wasn't winterized, of course.

I was at an art museum and there was a very large and I guess old ladder. It was a ladder but it was the size of a bookcase or a refrigerator. And the real devil of it was it wasn't entirely clear that it was a display. So I'm staring at this ladder not knowing what the hell it is and I just reach out and I tap it with my knuckle.
Immediately a security guard's like Sir please do not touch the art displays.

I felt like an idiot, it was a well-made ladder, but I don't think it needed to be in the museum. Still I shouldn't have touched it, but I wasn't entirely sure it was part of the collection, so... FYI

Knew a guy from Finland in University, apparently it’s very common for full families to get in the sauna together. Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister you name it, they’re going in together naked as a jay bird. Only cultural difference I never could look past lol.
They do it from birth. So it's not wierd... it would be wierd if you start doing it at the age of 18...
