    The more i learn about Advaita, the more pleasure i get. Its a different kind of joy and is nothing like the sensory pleasures that we get from wordly objects. Before i was a dualist (a devotee) but it didn't give me the kind of joy or satisfaction that im recieving right now by learning more about non-dualism. Thanks to swami ji for explaining it so beautifully.

      I don't get any benefit or joy from advaita. I get joy from devotion to Goddess. Sri Ramakrishna said that bhakti and Tantra are the main paths for this age , not advaita. They completely hijacked and distorted Ramakrishna's teachings. There were tantril sects who did not accept law of karma

    • @sumitdutta7043
      @sumitdutta7043 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sadhukalibaba5199 nobody hijacked it, you are living in you own made illusion.
      You are watching only this Swami, there are other Swamis in Ramkrishna Mission who have Bhakti as main forte.
      So don't make such statements.
      Pujas like Durga Kali happens too.
      Your problem is you want to paint everything in your own preferable way, you want everybody and every Swami to teach only Bhakti, which again is biasness.
      Again, have you even watched Swami Sarvapriyananda's lectures on Bhakti Yoga.

    Swami ji, your explanation is always leading to the Ultimate consciousness or pure Consciousness. Does it imply that every single person in the world who suffers from Physical or mental illness is undergoing what is not real. Should he or she be left to himself or herself
    Is compassion an unreal emotion?
    Swamiji, please guide me, I am looking bewildered, as to how is to be TREATED as unreal? If vyavhar or transactional world exists( though constantly changing), then my fellow beings pain does affect the self. This is how even animals behave.

    • @Pqihtyieojn12
      @Pqihtyieojn12 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are two standpoints in advaita. One vyavaharik and the other paramarthik. From the paramarthik(ultimate) standpoint there is no such thing as compassion or anything, for you are the all prevading Self. Whom should you be compassionate for?
      But in the relative sense (vyavaharik) all of this has an interdependent existence. So yes you should work to help others uplift themselves. Doing so, you will purify your own mind as well as benefit others physically. This will furthur help you understand that you are not the body, nor the mind, nor the aggregate of tendencies.

    • @Pqihtyieojn12
      @Pqihtyieojn12 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To answer you question is that every single animal or plant in this universe is experiencing that which is not real. Make them realise that it's not real after realising it yourself. Thus this delusion of suffering will end when everyone realises that they are one with that Absolute

    Excellent answe.
    The answer to this comes from
    Vyavaharika concept of brahma or emperocal point of view, as opposed to the paramardhika point of view, or absolute point of view into which karma does not fit into.
    This is illustrated with help of story of raja janak who one day while he was sleeping had a dream wherein he was being chased by enemies into a jungle, Raja janak was feeling tired and exhausted and craving for wareer and food. In the the dream he was offered food by a stranger . Raja was afraid somebody would snatch this away from him, so he went into a corner and was beginning to have his food when someone gave him a huge knock on his head and upon this the Raja gave a huge scream and woke up from the dream.
    When he woke up he was surrounded by the servants ànd the king asked them whether they had seen what he had seen. The servants answered in the negative and the king started wondering what is the truth. His being chased into the jungle by enemies was true, or that he was in his palace true. So next day in the court he asked his most enlightened pandit Yagnàvalkiyà what is the truth.
    Then yagna valkya Said that what the king saw in the dreams was VYAVAHARIKA satya and the other state where he is in palace is PARAMARDHIKA satya.

    The problem with this is so little people can just choose to be in a state of Turiya or the Ultimate therefore moving beyond it and karma. Until there is no trace of karma or ego then we are not fully free of it. So lots of people here seem to be commenting as if knowing the ultimate reality intellectually grants them being there, hence being free of karma. That isn’t true. This is why realizing the importance of karma is so important. We can’t just skip the relative reality because it sounds nice, and yes if we try to it can and may lead to ethical and moral problems. I just worry that some people here think they can think something and then instantly be it.

      Turiya - existence of self as background of all the other 3 states and it is the one who is witnessing experiences through other bodies.
      'I' is most of the times attached to limitations of body and mind of jagrit avastha. Identifying the presence of the turiya (throughout) & representation from there is 'expression of enlightenment'
      Till now this is what I understand from videos of Guruji and other readings in addition to some rare experiences dreams linked to news from relatives!!
      Thanks,
      Om Namah Shivaya.

      Namaste!
      I hit the like button for your post, this is my understanding too mostly from Swamiji's videos.
      I request you to comment on a Q I have (may not be exactly topical, but closely related at least) -
      It is said, - "........ Jiva is the mind super imposed on the atman, / or the atman identified with the mind. ..........jiva is the one that attains moksha because the atman is ever liberated in all eternity......".
      From this, is it correct to say the karana sareera / causal body can be equated with jiva ? Is it the same as the concept of "avyaktam"... the "blankness" of deep sleep (is that correct?) ? When the deep sleeper doesn't know anything, and but when he is asked, "who didn't know anything?", and he answers, "I didnt' know anything" or better still "I knew nothing", the "I" who answers to that question..... (not the thinking I because in deep sleep there is no thought).
      Thanks in advance.

    He answered it perfectly from a theoretical point of view. The question is critical. Just because karma is widely believed, this is not real evidence of it's truth. Also, the mechanism of karma's action requires the enduring reality of individual mind/subtle body across death. Cause and effect, that side of karma appears evidenced in worldly perception. But there is no credible evidence of a personal soul, Ishwarra or other deity to judge each 'individual' act, or post death personal incarnation. This is a socially derived mass behavioral regulation concept only. All is perfect, performed by no one. Illusion is not real.

    Exactly. Most people haven’t truly cleared enough karma (illusions), in general to be able to thus “escape”the law of karma. That is why ultimate truth is as such, but can’t truly be applied to everyone.
    If one hasn’t truly cleared their “karmas”, the proper way, just thinking of “karma” doesn’t exist is essentially a form of “spiritual bypassing”.
    That is what I have been trying to tell people. I can’t exactly tell you how karma truly works, you have to figure it out on your own, as what applies to my specific life, might be truly different from yours. It’s not just the same exact acts that generate the same exact karma. 🙏
    I have been thinking exactly about how to truly tell people this, with a simulated situation of such situations in my mind. Because karma is truly not real in ultimate truth, but at the “level” that most people are in, karma exists as they still have karma (in the illusions of karma). and I can’t exactly also tell them what exact “stuff” in what karma, as it’s not that absolute as a certain fixed form. This has to be figured on alone. If it was truly that “straightforward”, everyone generally would already be “karma”-free already. and also, thus, don’t assume that it’s exactly a certain fixed form as certain karmas, thus thinking that someone that perhaps do certain acts as definitely getting “bad karma” (for example), but then those people didn’t actually truly get in in the exact ways that one might perceive, in fact, the “perceiver” of this, might actually be getting more “bad karma” with certain specific (for example thoughts of it as well). Because the idea of karma is truly not that straightforward, thus, there are many “layers” of karma.
    Essentially, karma is illusion as a general idea, and so, the key is that we just need to figure out, based on generally our personal life experiences (of somewhat proper “empirical” testing - my personal method, I’m not saying it’s the best and only method - karma theme here), of what karma truly is, based off our own karmas as well. 🙏

    to change my life around...
    I watch this video
    and what arises in me is overwhelm
    and stress.
    my dream life feels 999-trillion universes
    away from my reality:
    - I have minimal work (I live in poverty, always have)
    - the place I rent is old, old and teeny tiny-tiny-tiny
    - I have passions and talents that could make me rich, but...
    - I'm single, have been my whole life, I die for true love
    - fat and diabetic
    - old now, no longer attractive
    - no friends
    - always a million-trillion stressful things to do...

      Dharma and karma are two different things. Dharma is the balance, natural flow of things or conduct while karma are the deeds which affects you. When most of the mankind moves towards disorderly conduct, lord appears to again establish order in society, but that doesn't mean all the disorderly conduct of mankind have surpassed Karma, all the people will get their karmic results also.
