I remember when I heard that for the first time, well when The Starlights performed it the final how it blew my mind especially considering what was going in the show at the time. I still listen to it til this day. With that out of the way, it was fun to hear someone else's perspective on the songs.
I must thank you for introducing me to Sailor Team Theme/Sailor Team no Theme because it is such a killer tune. Been replying a lot recently since the video. My top faves from the 90's anime are Sailor Star Song, Rashiku Ikimashou, Moonlight Destiny, Starlight ni Kisushite/Kiss the Starlight, Ai no Senshi, Moon Revenge, Sailor Team Theme, Route Venus, La Soldier, and Moonlight Densetsu.
Aah great taste! Sailor Moon has so many great songs! They really don’t get enough love (especially the insert and character songs!) And agreed, Sailor Mars has the best songs (although Flame Sniper’s my personal favorite 😉) And happy belated birthday!
this video was extremely well done. i had no idea about those moonlight legend facts (i didnt even know that moon lips was the original sera myu cast). i also agree with sailor team no no theme not getting used in a good fight scene; that supers fight was awful, how are the senshi still losing to the amazon girls when they got their super attacks episodes ago? smh! and yes, that vanessa mae outer senshi rumor bugged me so much back in 2008 lol! lastly, Carry On is such a bop, no shame. overall the sailor moon songs just have this nostalgic and romantic feel that you described very well.

Flame Sniper reminds me of Black Cat by Janet Jackson. I also prefer Sailor Star Song over Moonlight Legend, but I think it's because the 90s English dub ruined that song for me.
