I love my Bruckner. I love my Bruckner even more when it is performed by a Youth Orchestra, especially one carrying the composer's name! Bruckner seemed so much more at home in younger company. Thanks for a wonderful, exhilarating account of the magnificent, incomparable Fifth ... Many congrats to Mr McBride and the orchestra!
Excellent, some rough edges but very clear brass without drowning out the strings, you hear all the musical lines interweaving, very difficult to do in this symphony where counterpoint is so dominant.
What happens is that the bass players become resistant to the idea, since they would prefer to be as close as possible to the celli, with whom they double an octave lower so often. Nonetheless, some conductors and orchestras do it.
Yes -meandering into the realms of Bach in the fugue. And by the end meandering into the finest chorale coda finale in the whole symphonic repertory !!
@@dominiquebopp4839 At least the performance wasn't the often-funereal interpretation ('schleppend') that Bruckner gets from some over-reverential conductors.
I play this every night
to lift my mood.
Thanks for writing
great symphonies. ❤
Thank you Bruckner for being a great symphonist ❤
A most excellent performance, those boys and girls, gave it their all!
I make no apology for calling them, Boys and Girls!!
Outstanding orchestra 😅 ❤
Best symphony ever.
The finale of the Symphony of Symphonies - bravo to all concerned!

Sounds creepy, dude
Bravo Gezobel.
Wow! That was an incredible performance - exhilarating.
This Hall sounds so good, you can feel splendid low frequency coming out of Double Base. Btw, performance well done, surprise from Down Under.
Well. Somehow, its like I heard the piece for the first time. Wow !!! Bravo !!
WOW!I cannot believe this is not performed by a famous orchestra like VPO or MPO!
I play this every
night every night
Excellent!
Fresh and passionate performance.
The bass trombone 🤯
I really, really like their choice seating. That is how this should be done always with this kind of music.

Overall a thumbs up.
Knockout performance! I hope to visit OZ next year, will there be any performances?
At last the basses spread out across the back, why don't all orchestras do that?.
Exactly. This way a lot of spectral imbalances are easily solved.
What happens is that the bass players become resistant to the idea, since they would prefer to be as close as possible to the celli, with whom they double an octave lower so often. Nonetheless, some conductors and orchestras do it.
Because that way they can't hear the celli and lose touch and timing with the rest of the strings.
Pure untethered meandering Bruckner . . .hmnn . .

Very fresh and clear😊

Great pure sound ❤
Quelle vilaine interprétation de ce finale. Ca manque de tonus et d'entrain !:
Aw come on: was it really that bad ? The audience seemed to have bought into the performance.
I agree. You should hear the Celibidache late version to understand how Bruckner must be interpreted

@@None-zc5vg I can agree with this ! It isn't schleppend :)
