Be sure to water your tree often! :) They drink a LOT of water and you need to check that tree stand every day/twice a day to make sure it's full of water. Once it gets dry, it'll start to drop it's needles.

We like to travel together (usually in the summer, occasionally in the winter) and since we are not flying during Covid we won't be seeing each other this holiday. So to cheer ourselves up we've already started planning our trip for out first Covid free Christmas. We are going to Quebec in Canada (we did Montreal once before). We are going to stay at the Fairmont that looks like our favorite castle in Germany. They have a beautiful Christmas market and a toboggan right outside the hotel. About 30 minutes away is an ice castle hotel that they build from scratch every year with a new design and it opens after new year (not this year sadly). Even if you don't stay you can pay for a tour and get a drink at an "ice" bar etc. That's the plan. We also go to Europe a lot, and want to go to Prague for Christmas (my mom is Czech) as well as Edinburgh (I've been but not at Christmas) and we want to stay at an ice castle in Norway or Sweden . But first up, the second we can, is Canada.
This has been a tradition in my family the last few years where we ski to a cabin in the mountains and spend Christmas away from anything other than great family time

So crazy hearing the UK's plan for the vaccine in comparison to our plan here in the US. I think here the plan varies by state but in Connecticut where I am, the vaccine is rolling out next year with first responders & nursing homes getting it first. Then a little bit later older people and high risk will get it. And then in June everyone else will be able to get it.
