D&D is such an amazing hobby. Allowing you to stretch your creative muscles and bring about experiences from seemingly no where. The fact it’s so people driven is also a double edged sword - making memories is amazing but finding the time to actually sit down and run a session with friends seems like a monumental task, especially when you stop being a student and work 9-5 5 days a week and all your friends are scattered all over the country. Great video and I truly hope you try you hand at D&D one day. You won’t regret it!

Btw, try DnD there are many gameshops in The Netherlands that run games every week.
Edit: and they're usually called D4, D6, D8, D10, D12 and a D20. The one with the double figures is a percentile die.
Another addition, the precentile die is commonly called D100. Don't forget the infamous D3 as well, that one is really interesting
Edit: Just saw the percentile die, should've actually looked at the video before commenting I guess, hehe. That's not a D100, but still a percentile die as you said

@@zionxiox1475 Yes and no, you CAN use a percentile and a D10 as a D100 but there are also real dice that have 100 sides, aka D100
@@OllieJsonable I'm aware there is a D100. It doesn't come standard in most sets you'll be buying. D100's also look ridiculous, and are nearly impractical to have.

I think this is the only dice unboxing ASMR video on the internet. Why aren’t there more like this? I’m relatively new to ttrpgs and ASMR and this is the perfect combo.

This is seriously my favorite ASMR video of all time. Your soft spoken voice is perfect for ASMR, and the content was really interesting (even if I do fall asleep listening to it every time lol I consider that a good plus though.) Any player of D&D has waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many dice, but never enough at the same time... I have the same opal set myself, they are gorgeous. I only use the D20 when I run my games. It rolls high every time.
The formula for how many dice you need is 'n + 1'. Where n = The number of dice you currently own

I agree that there are d&d dice designs that are so nice you just have to have them. There are metallic, wood and glow in the dark which is so cool.

It's a game of the imagination. 1 person(dungeon master) sets the scene, and the players bring it to life with their choices. Dice represents the randomness of an outcome. The DM controls the monsters and NPCs that the players interact with.
You walk into a cave looking for a lost child. Your armor makes noise, and alerts the 16 ft tall troll boiling a pot of water about to toss the lost child into the scalding water....Roll the D20 to see if you can act before the child meets it's doom...17, good, what do you do? Ok, roll to hit, roll damage... Now it's the Trolls turn. ..
That's kind of how D&D works.
At 7:30 - it's usually called a "dice tray", and it's to roll into so that dice don't go everywhere (some people throw them too hard). You attach the nearby pair of fasteners on one corner together, then the next corner's pair, and so on.
I really like this video. Your Skyrim ones are good to sleep to, but this one is just nice and relaxing. :)
Those sets are beautiful to look at. I have a similar fascination with chess pieces- I used to play a little, however I don't know anyone who likes the game, so now I don't play. That being said I adore the different pieces you can collect, some are made from marble.
I also at 17:33 took your inquiry seriously.... Transparent is when you can see through something whereas translucent you cannot- at least not clearly. Translucent is an adjective meaning you cannot see clearly through something.
Translucent: permitting light to pass through but diffusing it so that persons, objects, etc, on the opposite side are not clearly visible..
Transparent: allowing light to pass through so that objects behind can be distinctly seen..

Loove this video. I believe the clear dice are made of resin. They always have a lot of air bubbles in them and they put them in pressure pots to suck out the air. Some bubbles can get left behind, and some people like that.
I think it is resin too but you can use a pressure pot and then there is actually put more air in so the bubbles get really small almost not there. And they can also use a vacuum this is removing the air from the resin before pouring.

Chaeri is a underrated asmrist, she is one the few that dont show parts of the body to get views and subs and i love it. Also love the gaming and other geeky stuff, like the skyrim videos. Keep up the good work :D

I feel like the D8 was the coolest. was half purple and half clear/translucent
I really think that you should at least try out DnD, it is loads of fun! You really get to work your creative side and can make some memorable moments with a good group of friends. I think you should research classes and races a bit, as there are a bunch to choose from! Every class and race have different perks and weaknesses but every one are good in their situations! I feel like your fluorite set would fit a Druid class and your opalite would fit a Cleric. Either way, I think the sets you got were gorgeous and it looks like the beginning of a dice hoard😉

It is possible that the tiny bubbles of air are there to balance the die, and think that they are made with resin, at least the first set looked like it. Have fun playing >

Transparent means something is completely see through. You can clearly and distinctly see the objects behind it. Translucent means that light passes through something, but you can not distinctly and clearly see the objects behind it.

I think the second set of dice is made from resin this is used a lot for dice making and because of how they are made with pouring the kind of plastic it can trap air bubbles.
Opalite is actually just a synthetic gemstone so that’s why bubbles can occur in it

different types of sediment/rock will have different densities, so weight even if the volume is the same won't be the same.
I'm just assuming they're made of different sediments.

Translucent, Transparent, and see through all mean essentially the same thing. The have minor differences but no one will notice if you use them interchangeably
