    Thumbs Up Bob 👍 Welcome to Lionel Cab 1L better known as TMCC. One of these days I may reverse like you and go to DCC MTH Style? We will see? I'm still waiting for my first Pre-Order MTH CNW Caboose that was due to arrive in July. Really enjoyed your running trains and the layout as always BIG 👍Enjoy your trip and ride.!

    Great job once again, Bob! Those Greenbriars are really something to see in action. Great train run. And thanks for including the short view of 2102 starting up for a run. The whistle sound is stunning!

      Thanks Tom. The Greenbriers are my favorite. The second whistle you hear on 2102 at closing was the same whistle 614 ran with. Its a Reading 6 chime.

      Another idea
      Maybe there's a way to make a nice unit train Video with one of your steam engines perhaps a coal train or gondola
      an oil or grain train where you can use a steam engine to pull it
      showing the layout throughout the course of the video from different perspectives

    I was on the hunt for those Chesapeake and Ohio passenger cars, until pure luck allowed me to find the Pere Marquette versions, which are the same color. The 5 car set, and the 2 car add-on set are some of the best in my fleet!. I updated them all with LED's, and customized the interiors. I never saw many passenger cars pass my childhood home, but they still hold a special place in my heart, and on my layout.

    • @BobsOGaugeTrains
      @BobsOGaugeTrains  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes these cars are hard to find. They were originally put out in the late 90's with the PS1 Greenbrier. The Pere Marquette is very very similar.

    Great video.As a train guy myself.Sir I can tell you as a child the school I went to was next to.The tracks of the Seaboard Air line then Seaboard Coast line. Back then it was GP 9 and GP 7 pulling fast freight trains.Sometimes you would see 6 to 7 locomotives pulling a long train.I would look out the window and watch.This did not go over well with the teachers.And even back then I saw a few wooden outside steel braced gondolas.Later the bigger locomotives started showing up the SD 45 and GE locomotives.I have a collection of o gauge trains.Lionel MTH Kline Weaver to name a few.You can check them out at 889ts or eric oxner here on youtube.

    I have two sets of C&O passenger cars, a Madison and streamline MTH , I call them Madison but I think the term is heavyweights.

    • @BobsOGaugeTrains
      @BobsOGaugeTrains  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes technically they are heavyweights. But Madison or heavyweight its the same to me.

    Nice video, good video shots and sound. I luv double heading, but. I have 2 of proto 1 mth premier j steam, bought a proto 2 upgrade kit to upgrade one, but never did the upgrade, kit still in its box. May still try since I cant double head mth proto 1, as far as i know. I actually took all 18 ft of inclines ( 3.5 %grade) off my board because my 20ish proto 1 engines constantly needed speed adjustments going up and down the inclines. Gary j

    • @BobsOGaugeTrains
      @BobsOGaugeTrains  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you need someone to do the upgrade I have a guy highly recommend. Yes with proto 1 you have to adjust speeds alot. Proto 2 or 3 will take care of that for you.

    Great video, great consist, The Yard layout runs conventional so if i get a legacy steam engine what would i miss out on, speed control?, sound segments? Lights.? So video on a simple compairison would be nice. Running garden trains. Thanks...

    • @BobsOGaugeTrains
      @BobsOGaugeTrains  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you run conventional a legacy wouldnt not switch whistle, bell or yard sounds. Speed control would be iffy. Im gonna be honest you can get a tmcc base and tmcc remote cheap. It is simple to install and you could access most features. I dont have legacy system, I use tmcc and very happy with it.

    bob,what do you call the passenger car when it is not a heavy weight.

    • @BobsOGaugeTrains
      @BobsOGaugeTrains  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I dont know what others call them, for me. The Madison typoe are heavyweights the others streamlined. Or in one case the PRR woodside passengers I have.
